Their sourdough is incredible, with a rich tang that stands out. Orders are taken right at the door, so you get a clear view of the amazing craft the team puts into every item. There is no sit down space, but they do offer a slicer if you want your loaf sliced ahead of time. I am also a huge fan of their english muffins and their soft, buttery brioche dinner rolls. Everything here tastes wonderful.

Been coming here for over a year but they knocked the chocolate croissants today out of the park. They sell them during the week now. Crispy, flaky, buttery, and a bit rustic. The butter and chocolate flavors stood out whereas some croissants you get taste mostly like bread. And two bars of chocolate inside!! The proper way!

Recommend their country loaves and ciabatta as well. Fantastic sourdough and great people.

So... We love sourdough bread. We're new to Charlotte but couldn't find any good, wholesome stuff in the grocery stores. Then we found Verdant! Stopped by and got a loaf and English muffins and they were ridiculously delicious! I'm now on a $30/month subscription for one fresh made loaf a week. That's a great deal altho 1 loaf might not be enough :)

They lie about when they’re open until so be careful driving all the way out and wasting your time!

Best sour dough in Charlotte. Six stars. Catch them at the farmers market on Saturdays!

This is hands down the best bakery in clt. I was there a little later in the day for my birthday and the two guys working were so charismatic and friendly! We got a chocolate croissant and a toast. Amazing. I’m convinced there’s nothing bad on the menu.

Hidden gem in Plaza/Oakhurst. Wonderful people who make delicious fresh bread. The staff is always very friendly and kind. Makes you feel great about supporting local and feel fortunate to have Verdant in our neighborhood!

Popped in for some fresh bread, I was with my 19-year-old. He's never had a French bag yet. Fresh before. Oh my God. This bread was so fresh and so warm. I could feel it through the bag. The gentleman at the counter was extremely nice. We had a conversation about baguette and needless to say I live in Denver and I will drive here at least every two weeks to get my bread. It was that amazing.

First came here because of Goodie bag. Impressed with the quality of their bread so went back and got the country loaf and English muffins! Really love the texture and taste of their bread.
