A dear friend brought us a meal with some of this sourdough bread and it was the best bread I have had in a long time. The crunch of the outside mixed with the airiness and softness of the inside was amazing. We have this on our list of places to go!Dietary restrictions: Dairy free with sourdough bread

Great sourdough! It has a great tang. The bakery takes orders at the door. You can see all of the work these fabulous bakers do. There is no sit down area. They also have a slicer if you like the loaf pre-sliced. I also really enjoy the english muffins and brioche dinner rolls.

This is the best place in Charlotte. They do subscriptions but I usually just go in the morning and get a warm baguette. Staff is super friendly. My only complaint is that they aren't open enough hours/days.

So glad to have these guys in the neighborhood. Been desperately looking for a good baguette in Charlotte and the one at Verdant is super solid and a really great price. Always have to tear off an end and sneak a bite on the way home. Not only is the bread excellent but the staff is super nice and everyone working there seems to really enjoy it and it comes through in their product. Check them out and support this local business

First, delicious! Second, lots of sour dough, good for gluten intolerance. Third, (but maybe should be first) talented bakers, who clearly love their craft. Friendly, too.

We’ve picked up bread from Verdant Bread at both the uptown farmers market and at their shop. We are so happy to finally have really good sourdough bread in Charlotte at last! Love the baguettes too.
Sooooo......gooooood. This is the bread you want. Yummy!

Best sourdough in CLT and some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. I love coming here to pick up delicious bread and get tips for my own bread baking!

An amazing Sourdough based bread place that is a must try. If you enjoy Sourdough or good bread, this place needs to be your go-to.We typically add a bit of butter to a slice and toast it. It doesn't need anything else because it's so good! My wife likes to joke that the first thing I look up in any city we travel to is a bread place. This is the first place we've been in outside of a major city that has not been disappointing.

Friendly staff. Best baguette I've had in the Charlotte area. The brownie was delicious, too. Will look forward to trying their other breads. Wish I had discovered this place sooner.
