Via Roma is our favorite restaurant in the Charlotte area. I am from NYC and Italian, so my standard for Italian food is very high. The service is fantastic and the drinks are delicious, too.
We have always had great service until last night. It took over an hour after our order was placed to get our food and we had to ask about it. At no time we were there did anyone come and let us know what was happening with our order. There were two big tables behind us and I'm assuming that's what took so long but would've been a better customer experience if they had touched base a couple of times to keep us informed.
This is the best Italian restaurant in Charlotte! Please make sure to make reservations because it's hard to get in sometimes. All the people that work there are so hard-working and accommodating. The decor is understated, elegant. They always have wonderful specials. The bartenders are perfect.
