Stopped down here before going to work one morning. Danielle, the owner, was very gracious when I thought I forgot my wallet and she encouraged me to pass it forward (she was going to give me the meal for free but my wallet ended up being in the car). My sausage omelette was awesome and Tara the waitress did a great job. We'll definitely come back when I'm in the area!

First and last time dining there. Walked in the lady at the counter stayed seated, handed us the menus, pointed and told us to go sit over in the corner. As we are walking she yells what do you want to drink. The actual waitress finally came over and took our order. (The place had maybe 7-8 small tables total with 3 waitresses working lunch, so not very busy) We ordered the 'specials" pork chops and pot roast with gravy and potatoes. The pot roast tasted like a frozen dinner with some kind of potatoes with a clear fatty gravy over them. (horrible) Fried squash was soggy. Everything tasted out of a can, not fresh. Even charged us 1.00 extra for a small ranch. Service was rude, not very clean and way over priced for the quality of food and atmosphere.
Worked here for three weeks. Manager is horrible to work for. If you are black don’t go here. They whisper and talk about us. EVERYTIME a “person of color “ (in her words ) walked thru the door she rolls her eyes and talks about them from the way they dress or anything. She keeps what credit card tips she want from the ppl that work for her. She won’t allow you to see what someone has left you. She questions customers on why they feel the need to tip “the black girl, and not her” in their words to the gentleman “why do you tip the black girl but not me “ she talks about all the customers. They never wash they hands only use hand sanitizer “saving water” the coffee will pretty much always be watered down because “these ppl drink to much” The foods not even that great. EVERYTHING is left over for days. I wouldn’t even be mad because I honestly was planning on leaving them anyways but it’s the fact she call herself firing me because she sent me home for not feeling good. SHE SENT ME HOME then texted me and said it wasn’t working out. I’ve felt the tension since day one of working there on how she felt about me being mixed. I just moved to charlotte and it was my first job. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!!!
