All I ordered crab dip and a salad. The crab dip was soo milky. I have been coming to this place for years and have never had such nasty food. I appreciate them not charging me but this was ridiculous. This place has really changed regarding quality food.

My husband and I went here for dinner, specifically for burger night to try it out. We sat at the bar, ordered a couple of pours and our burgers. Andy the bartender took care of us and did not miss a beat. Burgers were excellent. We will be back!!!

My co-workers and I went to NC for an accreditation visit, and our colleagues recommended this restaurant since they said it was very famous for the quality of the food they serve here. I ordered a beef steak that had no taste of beef, but it tasted to.vinager or sour, and it was cold. The mash potato and greenbeans were ok. However, you are not going to be happy paying $30 for a stake to enjoy only the sides. My co-workers ordered shrimp and grits and burgers, and they found it ok.

All I needed was the patio to be opened. The crab dip is everything ? ?
The meatloaf with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach was delicious. I can never get pics of my meals but definitely not my last time visiting.

Eaten there many times and was told by my companion that village tavern doesnt want our business. I repeatedly kept going even though i realized that some staff never missed an opportunity to remind us that we weren’t wanted there. The place was virtually empty inside and they seated me next to the only other black couple in the building. I didn’t think it odd until they immediately sat two white gentlemen in the center of the restaurant and US in the corner. My booth wreaked of a leaking depends diaper. Stale urine smell. I still didn’t ask to change tables.
The waiter, a young white male with ZERO interest in waiting on me brought my ten-spice salmon OVER COOKED! Still i didn’t complain, afterall he didn’t prepare it.
I asked for a “to-go” sweet tea. He brought it, seeing plate discarded to other side of table clearly im ready to go. I flagged him down to ask for check, he dropped it on the table and walked immediately away without speaking to me. Never offered a refill, not a word out of him. He left and went attended to patrons out on the patio. I immediately got up and went to counter to ask if i could pay. She acted as though she was being bothered but still took payment. I filled it out and left it on counter because she had turned her back to me and went back to what she was doing.
I felt disrespected and disregarded as a valued FORMER customer. I got the message this time.
