I ordered the meatballs for an appetizer which were a little too tough for my liking. Did not break apart easily.For my main dish I ordered the orecchiette which were phenomenal (cooked al dente). The crushed red pepper was extremely spicy, the server warned me but I thought I was tough. The ambience is intimate so I agree coming alone is not ideal but that doesn’t bother me.

Ordered the ravioli, it was delicious. Our server, Julian was attentive and happy to answer all of our questions. He even shared that the pasta was made locally! We also appreciated the manager/owner checking with us multiple times during our visit!Parking: Plenty of spots in parking lot
Visited Volo for the first time this evening and it was one of my favorite dining experiences since moving to charlotte a couple of years ago! The staff was AMAZINGLY attentive and took great care of me from entry to exit—not to mention the food was excellent. 10/10. Check it out!

With the exception of that minor concern, the overall atmosphere, gastronomy, and service were exceptional. I indulged in the fritto misto, tagliatelle, and the delightful limoncello marscapone cake.

I recently visited Volo and it left much to be desired.We were warmly greeted for our reservation and seated in one of the tables against the kitchen wall that was also directly behind another table, so we essentially were on their backs and it’s next to the main walkway.We ordered drinks that were forgotten. Our server realized it and had them made complimentary for us.The salad “Mediterranea” and the bread with dip was the best part of the meal.We ordered ravioli and spaghetti & meatballs. The ravioli was room temperature and the vodka sauce was tasteless with a sweet undertone.The spaghetti & meatballs while bland, they were nice sized meatballs. They honestly tasted about the same as unseasoned store bought meatballs.If I could offer any advice or suggestions to this establishment, I’d say first please move those seats from that wall. It’s disturbing of your meal and conversation having people speed past you while you’re eating. In addition too as an Italianinspired restaurant the seasoning and flavors have to be stepped up a bit.Now perhaps I came in on a bad night but I was lead to this restaurant off a Charlotte Eats page. This one was a huge miss for us.
Service sucked. We had no clue who our server was. Took over 20 mins for drinks and one of them was horrible. The tortellini tasted like canned ravioli. Who we thought was our server said the food would be right out after we ate. Also we asked for extra plates and they weren’t brought out until after we ate. It was just a mess for the price. Really disappointed.
