Walnut Grill Ballantyne

Was served uncooked ground pork, waited for entrees for a very long time. Side dishes didn't come until we were almost done eating and they were under cooked. Steak was overcooked badly. Very few people in the restaurant and the food was horrific! The server did a great job the kitchen failed miserably.

Went on Monday at 5:30 for happy hour 1/2 priced appetizers, we got chicken wings, both bone in and boneless. Both excellent. Also got the Brussels sprouts very good. And the flat bread pizza , it was ok. Was very quiet on a Monday. Our first time there. Very good service at the bar, and nice atmosphere. Will return

Had an early dinner. Place was empty expect for two other tables. Order crispy cauliflower as an appetizer. It was tasty but not crispy at all. Husband and I both got salads and add salmon on one and shrimp on the other. Waitresses came back we are out of salmon. What??? So I got shrimp as well. They both were ok.... Not bad just OK got one drink that I sent back and one beer. Our bill was over seventy dollars. For two salads and one beer. I won't be back simply because I wasn't impressed with anything I got.

Probably the worst lunch we have had in Charlotte. My husband’s first sandwich came out with mostly fat and no au jus and the remake came out like shoe leather and practically water as au jus. The kids grilled cheese wasn’t melted and could see it was just kraft singles. Would not recommend if you are looking for an enjoyable meal.

We were greeted immediately when we walked in by s very pleasant host. The restaurant was fairly empty on a Saturday at lunch. We ordered our food and it came out exactly how we ordered it but thought it took longer than expected especially since the restaurant was empty. The brussel sprouts were very good. Service was also great. Overall thought we had a good experience, but the reason for the 4 star is due to pricing. Lunch was 50 for two meals and an appetizer.

Just to let everyone know, if you see clumps of reviews about the same server, they are having a contest to see who can get the most good reviews. Often Friends and Family write these and have never been to the restaurant. I have. Trust the low stars.

Best happy hour in the Ballentyne area. Flatbread is a meal in itself, house specialty drinks are delicious, and Tessa brings a spark every time that just makes you feel good.
Unfortunate that happy hour cuts off early at 5:30, but we're still able to get there in time after work.
