Been to The Wine Shop on many occasions the food is excellent. The people are professional and extremely friendly. It’s a cozy great place to go. They have the best quiche in town sincerely, Gail DiBiase.

My wife and I had a great experience at this restaurant! The shrimp pasta is some of the best I’ve had in a while and the wine was excellent. I had to personally tell the waitress to tell the chef that he did a really great job. We WILL be back!

Visiting from Denmark I had this place recommended by the place I stay. However when I arrived I asked for a chair (traveling solo) and this is where things went sour.
The lady at the door said with a “couldn’t care less” tone that they didn’t service solo people, but I was welcome to find a chair at the bar. With no further notice she went on to the next costumers… Fair pointe that they dont offer a table to a solo costumer, but she could have handled it very differently. Normally I’d say that restaurants in USA beats their European counterparts in regard to service, but this one for sure didn’t.
PS: the bar was already full so I took my departure…

We came here on a whim for dinner. We are new-ish to the area and not super impressed with the restaurants close by. Wine Shop at Rivergate was AWESOME. Service was so so kind and helpful (I asked a hundred questions). I ordered the seared salmon and my husband ordered the chicken Marsala. We also got truffle fries. Everything was 5 stars!!!! Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and flavorful. I was so impressed and satisfied. If you’re looking for a wonderful and flavorful dinner, this is the place to come!

The live music was too loud for Sunday brunch conversation and the musician (a man) refused to turn down the volume when asked. We were sitting at the table furthest away and had to scream to the person next to us to be heard. Waitress Nikki was wonderful but couldn’t change it. Food was average. Salad dressing never came (waitress forgot and was very apologetic) so my guest just didn’t eat it. Few to none healthy vegan food options were available -also a problem for my guest. Absolutely will never go back when they offer live music unless i don’t want to visit with anyone at my table. So sad because it was a favorite of ours. It was a five, now I had to give it a two because of atmosphere. We didn’t go there for loud music- just good food, good wine and good conversation. It’s a shame.

I cannot say enough good about this spot! Whether it’s grabbing a drink after work with friends or a date night, this place is phenomenal! Food, service, and atmosphere are always spot-on!

It was my first time here while visiting Charlotte, and the place is a 10/10. First impressions are very important and this place did not disappoint. I had the windisch riesling spatlese wine, which was sweet but not too sweet. Perfect for me, and the pasta jambalaya was really good. I got no onions as I do not like them, and not only were they able to accommodate, but it was still tasty. I would definitely go back.
