I have been coming here for 4+ years. By far one of my favorite sushi spots in Charlotte. The food is absolutely amazing. I have always had a good experience until last night. We had some friends in town and wanted to show them a nice chill night. We walk in and it was about a 40 minute wait which is fine, so we were added to the waitlist . We walked over to the bar and grabbed a few seats ordered a round of cocktails while we waited. The manager came up about 5-10 minutes later and said that the bar is for eating, not drinking and that if we weren’t ordering food, we need to take our cocktails outside. Keep in mind it was 35° degrees. I asked him if it was a new policy and he said all people do is “no, I want to sit people here. All people do is complain, complain complain”. Not sure as to what he was talking about as we were very cordial and was spending money at the bar. Typically we sit at the bar to eat and are regulars (almost weekly), we never have been treated like this. He was extremely rude and it honestly ruined the dinner experience. I was embarrassed that we brought our out of town friends here. I’ve never had this issue. I expected more especially when we are spending $200+ for dinner and drinks.

Experience a little racism for the 2nd time as a door dasher picking up a delivery order. This particular experience on 11/7/2025, a Caucasian woman was infront of me was picking up a door dash order as well. I saw her phone screen & it was on the same app as mine. She said she had a pick up for — and then cashier just handed her order & she picked the bag up and walked away . When I walked to the window, I politely stated that I was picking up a door dash order for —- and showed her the names on my phone. She turns around and grab the two orders, & placed them on the counter & held them to confirm to take a picture of the receipt…. She would not let me just let me pick up my order and walk out like the white woman that was infront of me. As I walked back to the car; the white door dasher was parked beside me. I asked was she a door dasher was well & she stated yes & was taking a picture of her order in the car ! But the cashier wouldn’t even let me touch the bag until I pressed CONFIRMED PICK UP ! RASCIST RASCIST RASCIST IN 2025 wow !!!!

The food is good and consistently so. EVERYTIME I go, the food is always excellent. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Charlotte, no frills, just a quaint cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere and and easy vibe that allows for you to dine solo, with a few friends or date night. I love this place, it’s worth a visit

Ordered delivery, toro tartar, toro nigiri and Philly roll. I eat sushi 2-3 times a week, I couldn’t even finish this it was so bad. I’ve never not been able to finish sushi. The cheap pricing should have been a red flag that this would not be quality fish. Worst sushi I have ever had in all my travels. Very disappointed

Good sushi bad ramen. The pork is thin, dry, no fat. The noodles are stiff like they were made a day ago. The egg is not marinated or cooked properly. The broth was mostly just a salt bomb. There’s no way you want to charge $15 for that.
Our favorite sushi spot in Charlotte! Our server, Mauro, always treats us so well. We like the tempura appetizer, salmon sashimi, red monkey roll, and kiss of fire roll the best, but everything is good!

Come for the sushi and stay for the kind people! The sushi is delicious and the price for the quality is amazing! I personally love to order the miso soup, shishito peppers, negi toro ikura hand roll and some variation of tuna or shrimp tempura roll. I know people who love the chirashi bowl too. This restaurant is lively inside and everyone is friendly especially Ivan and Jackie at the bar who always welcome us with a smile! Jackie recommended the Lychee martini which is now my favorite drink there. Ivan always remembers how we love hot sake and he also always provides great sushi recommendations especially if you want to change things up. It shows that they pay attention to taste/preferences and makes us feel special. The service is always quick and the interactions are genuine. We always look forward to going back for the sushi and to see the wonderful friends we made there!

Literally everything about this place is yum. I came here about a year ago when I was visiting Charlotte. A year later I am visiting again and remembered this place: just as good as I remembered. We got drinks, apps, and entrees. Did not disappoint. I usually don’t even eat sushi but theirs is top tier. Both times we’ve eaten here there has been a lengthy wait time but it’s been worth it for the food and atmosphere
