This is an extremely authentic restaurant. All the food was fresh and delicious and the garlic naan was incredible. I’ve had a couple lamb dishes here and they were also delicious. It wasn’t on the menu, but the waitress (who was great), recommended Gajar Halwa for dessert and it was fabulous.

I strongly recommend this gem. The food especially the chicken tikka masala and Haleem are delicious. The food is well seasoned and service is fast and efficient. Rad Malai is fresh and chai is on point . A definite win !

I paid $9.99 for the Afghani rice, which states on the menu consists of carrots, raisins and cashews, what I got was plain rice with a couple slivers of carrots. I called the restaurant expecting they would offer to remake the item with cashews since there’s no other way to justify the price, but instead the man on the phone said with an attitude they don’t make it with cashews, I reminded him what the menu says, he simply repeated they don’t make it with cashews, no apology, no refund, no explanation as to what could justify that price for plain rice. Won’t be returning to deal with people who have no customer service and don’t clean their restaurant.

WOW! I probably travel around the country/world more than most people and the food at this place was simply amazing. I had the Beef Nihari and not many Desi restaurants can get this dish right. The food & service..Just perfect!

Zafran Kabab Place is delicious!!! I've had many different Chicken Tikka Masala over the years, but Zafran Kabab Place has the best I've ever tasted!!! I truly mean that. Owners are very nice as well.Deceptive from the outside, but definitely worth your time and patronization.

Willing to try again before judging. I could detect the source of cooking the kabob meat was with gas.

Service was very polite with homey and comfortable atmosphere. The Goat Shinwari Kahari ($23.99), was absolutely delicious. The spice was addictive, the stew was rich, the goat was fork-tender. The ginger garnishes also really balanced the richness of the stew along with the well portioned naan. I was able to eat most of the Shinwari Kahari, but there’s enough for another meal (would probably recommend splitting). (BTW It does keep the bones in the stew)

Low key restaurant with vegetarian and non vegetarian food options. Tried paneer tikka, dal tadka, couple appetizers, haleem, mango lassi and kulfi. Food tasted just ok. Paneer was mild flavored with sweet and sour sauces and dal was very spicy. Staff was welcoming and respectful to all their guests. It’s a mix of self service (drinks) and serve-to-table (food).Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options in appetizers, entrees and desserts. There is only one rice (jeera rice) option in vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Have vegetarian and several types of meat optionsParking: Upto 30 spots in main parking lot, additional parking also available.Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on second floor and there are elevators right by the parking lot.

I thought I would give Zafran a try, since I genuinely enjoy Pakistani and Afghani food. I was excited to see Kabuli Pulao on the menu, as it's one of my favorite dishes. Overall, I was happy with the meal, but the pulao wasn't quite what a remembered from my time in Afghanistan. It was close, but most pulao I have had rehydrated the raisins, and in country they often used golden raisins instead of regular one. A few more raisins and carrots in the mix would have been nice as well. But overall, I was happy to find a place near my work where I could get this dish. My only critique is that it was a bit pricey - $20 for 2 kebabs and the pulao. The lamb kebabs that were with it were good, and a little spicy. I think I would get this dish again and try a different kebab with it.Zafran will definitely be in my lunch rotation. The menu variety looks great, the restaurant seemed clean, the staff was friendly, and the have halal options for those that require it.

Buyer beware. Looking at previous reviews, this seems to have been a decent place at one point in time.I ate there tonight, and 6 hours later I am still queasy as hell.I ordered samosas--no tamarind sauce. Ok, whatever. Entree, I ordered chicken tikka masala. It was SHOCKING. A previous review described it as tasting lile tomato bisque--very accurate. I tried to "power through" but it was too gross. The texture of the chicken was rubbery and revolting, like nothing I've experienced. I complained, and the manager offered to replace it with a chicken curry. Not wanting to make a fuss, I accepted. But it was equally gross. I believe they used pre-cooked chicken that was getting old.Like everyone has, I've endured subpar food before. But after $40 spent and 6 hours of nausea endured, I have to share this.
