Everything was good. Service was very good. Unfortunately, they were out of the Specials. That was disappointing.
Zinicola is one of our favorite restaurants in the Ballantyne area. Good food, great drinks and a selection of delicious wines! I recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good dinner experience.
Z was packed last night with multiple parties, but staff handled it very well. Food was delicious. I wish that they had a shrimp & pasta dish. Love the atmosphere!!
Food was great but the service was TOP notch! Our server was excellent, even with small kids made it enjoyable for our entire family. Will be going back for sure!
Zinicola is always great. The service is excellent and all of the staff is friendly. I went on my birthday and I probably got a “Happy Birthday” 10 times or more starting with the reception area, the wait staff, the chefs and then again when we were leaving. Even a nice dessert treat with a candle!
Great food. Great experience. It was our first time at Zinicola and we loved it. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. We will be back.
In general, we enjoyed it but the dinner wasn't without issues. My understanding is that numerous employees didn't show and that caused some service issues. Initially, the waiter forgot to put in one appetizer and didn't remember until we finally asked where it was. We said we would like another round of drinks with dinner and that was not delivered. Eventually we were able to flag our waiter down and remind him. When our 4 meals came out, two of them were perfect and hot, and the other two were not even warmed (this included a filet mignon with potatoes, and a simple pasta dish). The flavor was excellent for everything. This wasn't their best night and was hit and miss. It wouldn't keep me from going back, but it didn't earn 5 stars on this visit.
I had the scallops, which were delicious and my husband had the special salmon with a tapenade. The Caesar salad had slices of shaved Parmesan cheese. We sat at the chef's counter, which is always interesting.
Portions were small and the price of each dish does not reflect this. Additionally, with the exception of the asian sea bass the dishes were unexceptional. It is unlikely that we will dine at Zinicola again.
They went above and beyond adding pepperoni to our son's pizza and putting in that order first. The food came out hot, quickly and delicious.

Always love this place. Great service and the food is always been good to us. SOMETIMES, they do salt their food more than some may prefer but we have just learned to stay away from those menu items.
After many years Zinicola continues to be our favorite “ Go to Neighborhood Restaurant “! My favorite is Arugula Beet Salad and Branzino...All the food is great! A lot of new faces but restaurant continues to provide top notch Food and Service! Last time dining We were fortunate and had Charles as our server . He was so AWSOME!😊
I know many people who have dined at Zinicola and loved it but sadly that was not our experience. My chicken parm was overcooked and tough. Our friend said his lasagna was mediocre and he woulnd't order it again. Another friend loved the pappardelle bolognese. The arancini was also very good. Overall, we were disappointed.
Always great food & service!!! From drinks, to wine, appetizers and dinner- everything was fantastic!
Bruschetta, bottle of wine, spaghetti and meatballs and eggplant lasagna, very good, service was good, good ambience. 3rd time
