I took my family for a visit to the mountains and just love this hotel even though I think it’s over price We enjoy the bowling and casino The room was nice and clean
I spend a lot of weekends at Cherokee but went up for Thanksgiving and was pleasantly surprised with a signature facial. I had a coupon to use and there were no slots open for my usual massage so I tried a facial. John was my technician and I was absolutely amazed at how great my complexion looked when he was through. I am in my - well let's just say I am past middle-aged - and my skin was radiant, soft and really smooth. So ladies, try it out - you will not be disappointed.
I travel a lot, even during Covid, mostly for business and occasionally for pleasure. There are certain things that I look for and expect from a hotel. When entering a hotel room, I check all high touch areas, such as door handles, light fixtures and bathroom fixtures for cleanliness. The bathroom fixtures in the room I stayed in at Harrahs Resort in Cherokee was filthy. Water spots and toothpaste splatter all over the faucet and bathroom mirror. I also look for trash cans in the bathroom and sleeping area. There was one trash can in each location and both were gross. Chewed gum was stuck to the side of the trash can and they appeared to have not been cleaned or wiped down in a very long time. Due to covid, this resort has chosen to remove two items from the rooms: the guestbook and the coffee makers. These are two must have amenities for travelers. The guest book lets guests know when to check out where they can find restaurants nearby and a litany of other relevant information. The coffee maker, is an out right necessity, especially in a big resort. Being able to make a cup in your room is one less contact interaction with staff and other guests. This was the first hotel I have encountered that chose to remove these items from the room. My room had a broken drawer on the dresser, which is not so much an issue as they don’t know if it doesn’t get reported. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was easy and convenient. One other note to consider is their pricing, which changes throughout the day for the same room. I sought to stay a second night and while the price for the room was fair for the original night, it doubled for the second night and I was told to book wary because the price would go up throughout the day. Needless to say, I went to another hotel, for a third of the price, that was clean, had a guestbook and coffee in the room with free WiFi and a brown bag continental breakfast. Harrahs should consider the guest experience when making decisions rather than convenience of the staff. The staff wouldn’t have a job without the guests.
We recently spent a couple of days at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and Resort. We had a very good time there. The casino was very clean and the rooms were spotlessly immaculate. The food there was tasteful and well prepared at Brio’s Restaurant. We ate a very good breakfast at Selu’s Garden Restaurant. We had a very good waiter who is tops, his name is Tim. The slots here were a lot of fun. If you get the chance try this place, maybe you’ll get lucky and get a good win, we did.
So many fun machines...love the hotel, always accommodating, great service, good restaurants with great food.
Awesome place, room is great, and food is good.
Nice place. Employees are really nice and helpful.
Had wonderful time. Clean. Practiced strict covid protical. Nice machines. Friendly employees and we even won some money.
Always enjoyable, but NC law requires closure due to difficulty in social distancing while visiting the serving tables. Just have to WAIT !
Great location!! Beautiful property!
Restaurantji Recommends
It’s the closest thing to Las Vegas fun atmosphere for SC. It gets bigger and better each time you go. Lodging,, food, entertainment and the gambling is spectacular . I would recommend the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort.
Awesome place love it. Will be back
Basically our local buffet food bars are much better. Not worth the price at all but it was eatable. My favorite thing was broccoli salad from the salad bar. The rest was cold or just no flavor. Only perk fast and no wait but I can see why....
This is the first time that we have been here and it didn’t disappoint. Sunday is the day for crab legs! People line up. It doesn’t open until 1, but the space and variety of food choices is worth a visit.
I was a little disappointed in the seafood buffet. With it being 37$ a person I felt like the seafood should have been better. The oysters tasted old and not fresh like typical oysters taste. The crawfish were overcooked and lacked on flavor. The crab legs were good but they are a little small so they were harder to get out of shell. Also the crablegs, served warm, need to be served HOT. The crab legs got cold before you could get back to your seat.
