I have gone to Kobes' for many years. In fact I had been a customer since they opened, Sylva, Canton, and Waynesville. In the beginning they were top of the line. The man who made sushi was trained old school style and really new his sushi. He traveled to each new store as they opened and my wife and I would follow him. A regular once a week customers. The sushi is now made by....whoever. The quality is ok, but value is low. I now make sushi at home as was taught. They recently moved to a new building in the Walmart complex of Sylva. The new place is very loud, acoustics are horrible with a high open ceiling, lets everyones conversation echo through out in a garbled mass. The staff gets a regular overhaul as it is staffed by a bunch of college students. Roll the dice on service. Food is good but not what it was.Parking: There's a lot of parking as they're lot is small, but as mentioned they are in a complex with Walmart, so lots of parking. WATCH TRAFFIC.

I really enjoy the food. Every time I go I get something different. I love seaweed salad and they must read my mind because I get a large serving every time. It's relaxed and casual.Parking: Plenty of parking.

The food was ok. The service was quick, but really not nice. We ordered to go because we had a baby, didn't know how long we could stay, and I knew I wouldn't eat everything. I asked for a garbage can and the lady at the register told me no, that people who order to go usually take it to go. Well, I was taking mine to go, we just happened to also get a few bites in at the table before a long drive. She could have taken it to the back but we took it out with us. Really unnecessary attitude. I want to add that it wasn't busy, there were only two other people in there on a weeknight. I've only ever left positive reviews but this lady was so uncalled for and I'm sure Im not the first person she's been rude to.

One of 3 of the only good restaurants in town. I don’t understand the bad reviews. Maybe th restaurant was having an off day. We do get referred to many places around here however that are just awful so maybe we have different preferences. Kobe, Kostas and city lights are really the only places worth giving your money to here. My family comes here all the time and we love it

Food was great till I found a hair on the plate, when I call the waitress over to mention it she was beyond rude muttering things under her breath as if we couldn't hear her after she was told to take it off. I'd check your food and order to go cause if there's even a chance of getting her it's not worth it.

The food here was so good!!! We had the fried dumplings as our appetizers and oh my goodness, there were so good! My fiancé had the teriyaki chicken and I had the teriyaki steak, both mmm, mmm, delicious. I never eat all my food at any restaurant but I could not stop eating it cause it was so good. Their meal soup, delicious! We had a great waiter as well. Definitely want to go back.
