They set you down . Bring you a drink. You do everything else yourself. Food was actually pretty decent. Gravy was really good.

My wife and I have eaten at the former Newfound restaurant a number of times. Our experience has always been outstanding. The whole area is very clean, the buffet area is kept clean. The items are regularly replenished and are kept warm. All food is well prepared. The salad including lettuce is fresh. All employees are very nice and professional. The price is very reasonable. We are looking forward to our next visit and we come up from Atlanta it is that good. Thanks for the experience

It recently changed hands and names and for a $17 buffet I wasn't impressed... buffet was small and some of it wasn't good. Pasta noodles were dry, baked chicken was tough, and half was a salad buffet so main course items weren't as varied. Its buffet does change daily to italian, seafood, and country style etc and they're currently working on getting a menu, so maybe it'll improve.

This is now called Luftee River Restaurant and is located across from the Newfound Lodge. This is a buffet style restaurant that almost looks like a Golden Corral. The food we had was just ok. Had the fried catfish and chicken while my wife and friend had the shrimp. Vegetable offerings weren't the best and I saw no potatoes of any kind. Our tea was pretty good, though.

Maybe it was just an off day...Happened to be quite the fly problem... time of year I suppose.Food was pretty fresh and the fried chicken was really good. Hush puppies and fried shrimp were some of the best for a buffet. Our server kept our cups filled and made sure we were taken care of.Price was a little high for the few choices in the buffet. Not sure I would go back but served its purpose

This place has the BEST fried chicken in Cherokee as you can see!! I keep trying to get a picture before the bites but-we are hungry. After winning/losing at the casino or taking a family trip to Cherokee, you will not be disappointed in a $12 pp all you can eat buffet. The atmosphere is outdated but the taste of the food makes up for it. It reminds me of an old Big Boy or Ponderosa (for my northerners).Hope to see you there!

So I am a big fan of Huck Finns Catfish in Pigeon Forge. They have all you can eat catfish and I’m all about it. My boyfriend and I ventured over to Cherokee and came across a buffet. We were greeted by a sweet woman and sat immediately. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. But I’m telling you Huck Finns don’t have anything on the Newfound Gap Lodges Catfish! It was nice big fillets cooked to perfection. And ALL YOH CAN EAT! And it was only $11.99!!! They had all the fixings and a big salad bar. It was all delicious! I will defiantly make the trip over to Cherokee just to eat at this place again. Thank you!!!

Flies were all on the food..the food was nasty. The staff was nice. The food cost me 73.00 and my family didn't even eat much. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Not bad. Gravy was pretty good. Frozen biscuits were not great but edible. The hash brown casserole would have been the star of it wasn't for the red and green pepper overload. Friendly cashier and Willie is a good waitress. The pork chops were really good

For $14.99 + tax .. They had fried chicken , fried fish , And fried shrimp. The chicken and shrimp where over cooked and to hard . They had maybe 4 vegetables to choose from . We ask the waitress for ketchup and she brought hot sauce . Sat it down walked off and never came back .Trust me we did not go back for seconds . I am sorry but for the price there is not enough selection of food .And diffintly not enough choices for meat . And the food is over cooked .. Want go there any more . Paul's family restaurant has good food .

Don't waste your money food was gross and cold. It is buffet they give you 2 options on plates. ONLY EXCEPT CASH. Only good thing I can say our server was nice. When we were leaving the people around all were not eating either. The wife told the husband to just get the bill she was not eating the food. No refunds lol.

Our server was nice. If all you are wanting is chocolate milk to drink then it is a great place to go. However the grits, gravy, and eggs are all COLD. We informed the waitress and the kitchen help never even checked them. The French toast is the frozen kind that comes out of a box. The hash brown casserole did NOT taste cooked all the way. Oh yeah and the tater tots were good but you can't really mess those up unless you don't put them in the oven. Needless to say we definitely will NOT be going back.

Great little place near the edge of the park. The only option was the buffet, and it was very good. Large with many options, from southern staples to fresh fruit. Our waitress want the best, about never got simple things we asked for, was close to end of our meal and asked again but finally got what we needed. Maybe she was just having a bad morning, but would stop in again.

I was looking for a place to eat and saw this place. Many restaurants in Cherokee are seasonal so many were closed or are very limited on the days and hours they are opened. At the time of my visit Newfound was open Thurs-Sun. I was lucky as I arrived on a Sunday, so they were open. They were only offering a buffet which was just fine with me as I always love to sample several different items. It was not a big buffet although the salad bar had a large selection of salad items. The meat options were turkey, fried chicken and fried fish. The fried chicken was good but the fried fish was " pff the hook" it was outstanding, very tasty, very fresh and had a great spice to it. All the items on the buffet were well stocked and everything was fresh. It was to bad it was a Sunday and that they were closed the next three days or I would have returned during my stay in Cherokee. I will visit again the next time I am in town for sure.

This was our first visit to Cherokee in quite some time. We were looking for a local restaurant for lunch and that was when we saw the Newfound Lodge Restaurant. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated almost immediately. Our server was right there. There were a lot of selections on the buffet bars which included fried chicken (so good), catfish, a variety of vegetables, and a couple of dessert options. There was also a salad bar. A very pleasant lunch.
