The most bland wines I've ever had. Builtmore is far better and that's not saying much.

No matter the season, they never fail to amaze and consistently deliver! The food is so good you’ll want to order one of everything on the menu. Their tastings are delivered exquisitely and informatively. The atmosphere inside is exciting, with lots of wines to purchase and wine-themed gifts available. The patio views outside are the best in Chimney Rock. The entire team all work tirelessly to execute a dining experience you’ll want to revisit over and over; from the first-class kitchen staff to the delightful and hard-working servers and tasters. This restaurant will be your favorite in Chimney Rock, and the delicious wine you’ll look forward to enjoying both at home and gifting to family and friends. Do not miss a visit to Burntshirt Tasting Room!Vegetarian options: Enormous Salads, cheese dishes, vegetable small plates and entrees.Dietary restrictions: They offer many gluten-free options!Kid-friendliness: Ask for the kids’ menu - my littles loved the burger, chicken tenders (homemade!) and French fries. Chef Kris even made them a special plate of bread pudding for dessert! They are quite comfortable both inside and on the patio, and when musicians are there they can even dance.

Sitting outside is paradise! Great wine and DELICIOUS fresh food perfect for any day (the chicken salad is amazing and the cheese plate is huge and perfect for sharing!). Warm when the sun is out and cool and moody when it’s raining with awesome views of Chimney Rock all the time. Check it out when there is live music on the patio! We love when Rumor Mill is playing!

Poor service, mediocre food, and cheap wine. Slow service, everyone walks around lost. Manager was extremely rude after we were charged for food never received! Complained that we asked for a refund for food we asked for twice and never came out. Tourist trap.

First time here from out of state (Florida) our waitress was Patty and she was fantastic. The food was delicious, the wine tasting was great. Definitely 10 stars. Thank you

Beautiful atmosphere and great service but the food wasn’t great. I ordered a fish sandwich that was supposed to be grouper. It was a small and thin piece and likely was not grouper.

Go for the view. I would go back. The wine is typical for NC, but there are much better options (Swan Creek AVA or Elkin calling!). The Meritage and 3400 seem a bit watered down, which is to be expected in a rain forest. Vidal blanc was our favorite.I can’t comment on the food since we didn’t eat there, but looks ok. Live music was loud and annoying. But hey! Some like it that way.

Very disappointed with the food. We were there two years ago and it was fabulous. Not so fabulous anymore. ?

Angelique…is Amazing. We’re from Rutherford County and spent the evening in Chimney Rock for my birthday. Kris booked the tasting room for my group of 10, and set us up with Angelique. We felt like we were wanted there, from the minute the hostess greeted us. We had a GREAT time. After discussing our whole experience from where we stayed, to the different places we experienced and Burntshirt was collectively the best experience. Some of the places we went, we didn't really feel "welcomed", ( which is sad to be treated like that in your own county) but the staff knocked it out of the park. Angelique laughed with us , helped us choose our flights and food, she was on top of everything. 10/10 highly recommend!!

Stopped by here during New Year’s weekend for a tasting/flight. We did the sweet tasting and enjoyed the apple wine. It has a unique taste. The staff was extremely welcoming, came back to check on us and also offered some suggestions on the most scenic route back to our hotel in East Asheville. Great experience overall.

Enjoyed being here and the atmosphere. Had a nice server but on our second flight, that I was splitting, I received a lecture that some woman threw up for half a day after a second flight. It was weird coming from a place that serves wine and getting a talking to like she was my mother. We had the equivalent of two large glasses of wine. Felt awkward.
