“Wow wow wow! What a hidden gem. I went for a hike down in chimney rock and decided to find a place to eat for dinner. This whole town and area needs support after the hurricane so get down here and spend some money! This place will not disappoint. Everything was top tier and the service was delightful. I got the Duck Breast, and the gnocchi. Started with the trout dip that was off the hook, and finished with a purple obey** (crème brûlée”) dessert with fruity pebbles on top. It was so good I didn’t have a chance to take a picture before it was gone. You must check this place out. I will for sure be back.”

Incredible Tacos and Torta at Taquira El Chuy!

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Taquira El Chewy, and it’s easily the best taco truck I've ever experienced. The Pastor Torta was out of this world—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavor in every bite. I also tried two Pastor Tacos, and they were just as fantastic, with a deliciously soft tortilla and a mouthwatering balance of spices. My wife loved her three Chicken Tacos, which were tender, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We washed it all down with two bottles of Yoritos orange soda, which paired perfectly with the food. The team at Taquira El Chewy clearly puts heart into every dish, and the food quality and service were top-notch. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican street food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for more and recommend it to everyone in the area!”

You can also grab a breakfast bagel, chicken salad sandwich or other snacks. The baristas are amazing and it is a great place to get some work done with the high speed wifi.”

“Our family had the best time at Highland Kitchen and Bar! We brought the dogs and relaxed on the deck with the best view! I had the signature cocktail Hibuscus it was beautiful and delicious. With more home-work & equipment supplies that you can imagine, there are lots and lots of every day supplies not to mention, wall coolers that are stock filled with more varieties of drinks and so much food and snacks to select trom too.I think the biggest thrill was to try "Champs Chicken." An integrated full service kitchen and seating restaurant inside Marathon Station! Make sure you go before 3:00 PM as closing time for Champs is right then! Their homemade bone-in fried chicken tastes marinated and has a delicious fried crust; very flavorful and worth the try I think. I know that I will be back again to this Champs Chicken and Marathon Station at91 NC-Rt 9, Mill Spring, North Carolina 28756. What a great experience.”

“I live here. They cannot get help. No one wants to work. You can’t get good service if you can’t get help. It’s a nationwide problem since Covid. If they had help you would love Legends. Spray the patio if there are roaches. It literally rained all summer this year. That brings roaches. They won’t hurt you.”
