“I went to tryon equestrian center location on Mother's Day and ordered the wings and ribs. I was told they are the best by the counter person. I said I'll be the judge of that. Well, to my surprise the wings were the best I've had since moving to NC. They were meaty and so flavorful. Smoked and then slightly fried with the sauce. I will nodoubt go back and get many more and look forward to trying other meats there.”

“First time on the TIEC campus, chose Campagna for Sunday lunch. Chicken Caprese sandwich and Chicken Alfredo were very good and we have plans to try the wood fired oven menu. Big takeaway was our waitress Raylin who made a very good meal so much more. She was not only courteous, helpful and attentive, she had a pleasant personality that left us knowing we should go back. You walk in and you are immediately greeted with a wonderful "Howdy" and treated like you are the next "Super Star" to walk inside this miniature Super Store! With more home-work & equipment supplies that you can imagine, there are lots and lots of every day supplies not to mention, wall coolers that are stock filled with more varieties of drinks and so much food and snacks to select trom too.I think the biggest thrill was to try "Champs Chicken." An integrated full service kitchen and seating restaurant inside Marathon Station! Make sure you go before 3:00 PM as closing time for Champs is right then! Their homemade bone-in fried chicken tastes marinated and has a delicious fried crust; very flavorful and worth the try I think. I know that I will be back again to this Champs Chicken and Marathon Station at91 NC-Rt 9, Mill Spring, North Carolina 28756. What a great experience.”

“Roger's Diner is outstanding! It has a nice little ambiance and the staff is friendly and efficient. The food comes out fast and it is hot and fresh. I always stop in a Roger's when I am in NC! Definitely recommend this place!”

“Stopped in to get an ice cream after a hike to Pearson Falls and Glen. Great little sandwich shop and ice creamery. Lots of flavors to choose from and they make their waffle cones in house. The staff was very friendly and offered free tastes to help in the decision process. We will definitely be back when we are in Tryon, NC.”

“The Hare and Hound has friendly and helpful servers. The food has always tasted delicious. Their menu has a variety of items to please most anyone. The grilled chicken salad I ate had fresh mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, delicious grilled chicken, and shredded cheese. It also comes with onions if you like. My family and I have enjoyed each item we have eaten there in the past couple of years.”

“We looked for little coffee shops to stop for a quick bite on our way to Pigeon Forge from Florence SC and went out of our way to stop here. Totally worth it! The service was amazing. “Very good food! We had lunch inside the restaurant. The back has a patio overlooking the river but there were many “carpenter bees” that are very intimidating due to their size and well, if you don't like insects, I recommend eating inside the restaurant. Good and fast attention.”

Great service, didn't have to wait long, very clean. Ramp is on the side for wheelchair access and walkers. Steps in the front are pretty high.”

“Views from their front deck are great. The portions are massive! Not only that, they are actually really tasty. Just what you need after a long day of exploring the Lake Lure area. My fiancé left her purse on the deck and we decided to move inside after it got windy. Not only did the staff pick up her purse not realizing that we were still there, they locked it up in either a safe or a secure closet. Places like this- that make all of their customers feel like family -are why I love to do reviews. I hope we make our way back to the Lake Lure area, and when we do we will definitely come back to La Strada!”
