Worth a visit! Called in a to go order on Saturday night and it was ready in 20min. We tried just about every meat and everything was tender and flavorful. Mac and cheese was our least favorite side, it was pretty bland.

Food was good, but service was some of the worst I’ve seen. Let me start by saying I am a minority, so not sure if racial bias had something to do with the subpar service my family and I received. First we entered, no greeting, no “I’ll be right with you”, nothing. We waited for about 10 minutes, all three waiters walk right by us, see is with no menus, no drinks, not a single one of them acknowledge us. Then, one of them flips the “open” sign to “close” and starts taking down their flag. Finally, my husband asked her “are you guys not gonna be serving food anymore “, that’s when we finally get some menus and are told that they are out of a bunch of stuff. They take our order, the waitress comes back 5 minutes later and informs us that they are also out of hushpuppies and she can replace that with toasted bread. My husband asked if she could replace the hushpuppies with another item and she tells him that would be extra. We ended up ordering ribs which was one of the few things they were not out of. One of the waitresses approached us and apologized for the wait, saying that they were “super busy” and that they are usually not like that. Other than my family, there were two couples inside the restaurant, and three couples outside, qnd there were three waitresses. We finally received our order. The bbq sauce container is tiny for half rack of ribs. My husband runs out of bbq sauce, so he goes to get some more and the waitress copes an attitude with him and tells him that he needs to pay for the extra bbq sauce. My husband now has to explain to her that we ordered ribs and that we are out of sauce, and only then she tells him is ok to grab the bbq sauce for no extra charge. I would highly recommend you do NOT go to this place if you are looking for a pleasant dining experience.

This place is great food and service was top notch we were a party of 4 was seated quick our server Martie was right on top of everything. The food was served quickly and hot and was soooo good . The whole staff are great. We will be back.

This is a great restaurant. Portion sizes are large and prices aren’t too bad. But the location and views are extraordinary.
My family ate here the other night. Would definitely come back again! The food and service was fantastic! We had barely any wait! Martie was a superb bartender and all the servers were so friendly. Definitely make a stop at Chimney Rock Smokehouse on your way through!

I Hurd about this great place thru the Carolinian and I have to say hands down the best brisket you will ever eat in your life, ribs that fall off the bone. They also have live bands hand crafted beer and the servers are absolutely amazing!!! And I even got to meet young Pitt master Anthony Norwood himself who is the heart and soul behind western nc best bbq award 2023!!!

Would not recommend the Brunswick stew, it was just a lot of broth with a few strands of meat, 2 kernels of corn and some tomato pieces. My friends enjoyed their tacos and pulled pork sandwiches. Great service.

We stayed in Chimney Rock and we spotted this smoke house, we ordered to go. Everyone was so nice and my husband met the owners, but more importantly the brisket was so freaking moist and delicious. I could taste the smoke. The smoke ring was gorgeous. We got the sampler platter and we were not disappointed in anything. The “Cooked to Death” green beans were amazing (I didn’t need to add salt either) and were flavored so good. The cheddar sausage was phenomenal and it had a nice snap to it. The baked beans were full of beans and tasted amazing. The smoked wings were finger licking fantastic. The pulled pork was great and did I mention how amazing and juicy the brisket was? The ribs were also amazing and I loved the flavor plus they were pull off the bone. The side sauces weren’t even needed but I tried them anyways, OH MY WOW!!!!! The bbq sauce was amazing but the mustard sauce was so next level I wanted to drink it. WE WILL BE BACK!!!! They are opened year round. This was a great getaway with great food and super nice people.
