The lady who sat us and was our server never came out to us to take our orders, to check on us, anything. after waiting a while, we went into to order.
We had to go inside multiple times to ask for more salsa, put another order, etc.
She knew her service was bad so I think she tried to give herself a tip by telling us our total is higher and not showing us an itemized receipt before paying. When I insisted and asked for items it seems the price of our meal went down...read full review

La Montaña Mexican Restaurant offers an acceptable dining experience with a beautiful river view. The beef nachos Supreme was disappointing due to excessive grease, but the chicken fajitas were flavorful, although missing some traditional accompaniments. On the other hand, the Texas fajitas with Steak, Shrimp, and Chicken were excellent and cooked perfectly. The Sampler platter was also a hit, and the large, delicious Medium Margarita was a highlight. The restaurant's convenient location near Chimney Rock and ample seating make it a decent choice, despite some inconsistencies in the dishes served.
