My favorite restaurant in Clayton! I bring every person that visits me here and we always have a great experience! From the drinks to the food; and the bread pudding is the best thing ever!!!! If you don’t eat anything else, GET THE BREAD PUDDING!

Went to visit my sister in law in NC and she recommended this restaurant since she’s been there multiple times and loved it. My experience from the place was a little different, food portions were kinda small, beet salad was tiny as a meal and we ordered it as an appetizer (suitable maybe for one person), I personally ate the mushrooms on barley. It was WEIRD. I’m vegetarian and the mushrooms were too slimy and rubbery, looked like scallops.. flavor was ok but definitely needed some salt. Sweet potato mash was nice, it was an ok place but probably won’t go back there. All the guests felt the same. Server was great and atmosphere was nice.

The food was incredibly tasty. I had the 12 oz strip medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. We sat at the bar because it was a bit busy. Had a great conversation with the bartender there. I do not remember her name although I know she did tell me. We will be going back again. The food is fresh and the ingredients are locally sourced mostly from North Carolina, which I appreciate. I would like to add that the menu is only one page which is refreshing because so many restaurants offer too many items on their menu.

Drive 20 mins because we are fans of his downtown Raleigh restaurants. Walked in and immediately started googling for other restaurants in the area because we could feel a bad vibe. No greeting and staff was just standing around. Grilled oysters tasted like nothing but breadcrumbs. Service was lacking from entrance to table to check. We requested the check and left in search of better food and a better environment.

I had such a hard time deciding what to eat because the menu looked so good. Everything was solid. The duck wings with peanut sauce was good, but if you’re eating them as a meal I’d suggest pairing in with a salad.

Everything was perfect and the food was delicious. One of our new favorite spots in Downtown Clayton. From the corn bread appetizer to the wings right down to the alcoholic drinks, this place was a perfect date night and all the workers were great. Definitely make reservations to be on the safe side. The whole experience deserves more than five stars. They’re doing everything right.

Phenomenal food. Not what I was expecting out of Clayton, NC. Hands down one of the most tender, flavorful stakes I've had in a long time even being from Texas.Portions were well sized. Meal was filling. From start to finish everything tasted great.

While we have only been to Crawford twice, each time was exceptional. The staff is warm, welcoming, and by far the most friendly we have experienced in Clayton. Even during the dinner rush our server was attentive, ensuring we were never thirsty, kept our table clean, and made sure the timing of each dish was paced with our dining speed. The food has yet to disappoint, and I suspect it never will. The bone marrow with sourdough is a welcome departure from traditional appetizers commonly found in the area. The braised short rib was fall apart tender, and the sweet potato gnocchi complimented it extremely well.I could go on, but honestly, it is worth a visit if you have never been, and if you have, you know exactly what i mean. This has quickly become our favorite place to dine locally and we are excited to see what variations will be on the next menu.

The atmosphere here is superb if you're sitting outside. Even on a night that was below 40° it was very warm and cozy sitting by the fireplace. It was quiet and romantic. They even provided us with a blanket. It is on the pricier side, so for date night it's perfect, but not for a casual regular meal. The check for 2, shared salad, 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks was over $100. The grilled romaine salad and favorite burger were extremely tasty and I highly recommend them. The only dish that I don't recommend is the rib sandwich, the flavor was lacking. I think it could benefit from a bolder sauce or more toppings, so hopefully they revisit that dish. All in all, we would return here again for a nice dinner.
