They used to be so good. Now I’d say the food is average, like most Mexican restaurants around Clayton honestly…which there are quite a few of

These folks have some seriously delicious table side guacamole. Green chili enchiladas were pretty tasty. Black beans were good too. All and all a good experience.

Pretty good restaurant overall. If you’re in Clayton, I definitely recommend this over La Cocina or other similar Mexican restaurants. The food is great and they grill it well to taste just that slight grill char without it being burned or overwhelming. The ingredients are fresh and lettuce is crunchy. High quality and definitely a low price. Highly recommend.

I used to visit this place weekly. Now that we've moved 20 mins away, we still drive to eat here, just not as frequently. They do have a drive-through, so you can order ahead of time and pick it up. Everything we've ordered has been great.

4 adults and 2 kids were here for dinner the day after Christmas. Our ground beef dishes were especially greasy but we just figured that it had been soaking a little too long in it and ate our meals anyway without complaint. A day later us four adults who had the ground beef are sick to our stomachs from both ends. Major food poisoning. Kids were fine and remained fine because they got chicken nuggets there. We think maybe the meat was expired or left our longer than normal due to typically slower service over the holidays.Lesson learned- never again this place.

My daughters and I love this restaurant! The food is so delicious (especially the fajitas and nachos), the portions are generous, and the service has always been great when we have visited. Their prices are also very reasonable!

Fresh salsa with great flavors. Grilled vegetables were amazing with fajitas. And very reasonably priced. Will return.

I dislike leaving bad reviews because someone could've had a off night. But I just couldn't get with it. Then may mararitwasnt good..I probably would give them another try though. The waiter was on pont

We went here for the first--and last--time last week. Guacamole was delicious, but I had to ask for additional lime and salt to add flavor. Then I got my meal--disgusting. I couldn't figure out what the problem was and found it was the red sauce. I told the waiter the sauce was bad and very bitter. He went back and got a small bowl for me to try--extremely bitter. He did not taste it but brought it back to the kitchen and told the cooks (I hesitate to use the word chef). He came back and said they "forgot" to add sugar. Are you kidding me? The sauce is bad so add a little sugar? I left almost everything on the plate. He took 10% off our check. Really? You can keep your guacamole and your bad sauce!! Oh, I failed to mention that the tables could have used a good cleaning. I think I can do without Mexican food, if this is what I get. No thank you.

The best Mexican food I've found in the southeast. Their tableside guacamole is fantastic, their salsa is phenomenal, and their molcajete dish is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Their margaritas are also delicious, and they have many flavor options. There's plenty of seating, including outdoors. We eat here often and are never disappointed. I can't recommend Festejos enough!

I'm not sure what has happened to this place over the last few months but it went from being our favorite "go-to" to NEVER again! I gave the benefit of the doubt after my last order was wrong so we ordered again today and it's like they don't even read the customer's comments/preferences any more. The food took way longer than expected (though there were only two customers in the restaurant), the corn tortillas were not even warm (like they just pulled them out of a package), they included sides I specifically asked them not to (sour cream, pico, lettuce, etc.), the lettuce looked like it had seen better days and when I asked for a side of house hot sauce (not salsa), I was told they don't make hot sauce any more! WHAT Mexican restaurant doesn't make hot sauce?!? Super disappointed!

Great environment. Great food. Waitress was attentive. The macho burrito I had was really great. This is one of the few Mexican restaurants that has a large option for queso cheese deep which I love.
