I ordered a stuffed crust pepperoni pizza and there was no cheese in my crust. I asked for it to be remade but they screamed at me and told me to kill myself. I will never be coming back to this loaction again. I was very excited because hungry howies is my favorite pizza chain. I was highly disappointed when i took the first bite. I dont reccomend this place to anyone. Truly a disgrace to the JOCO community ✌🏻.

I think the pizza is pretty good. Every time we have ever ordered it, it has been consistently good. They have always gotten the order correct and the order was ready on time.

waited 35 minutes to get the wrong food. ordered half pepperoni half cheese … two slices have pepperoni on them. ordered cinnamon bread..got cheese bread.
This place always has an excuse. Training new people. From day 1 of them opening, no one was trained on how to make their product, and cut it correctly. Tonight is the last straw. A deep dish with all the cheese on one half, the other just dough and sauce. And cut in a 1/4 pattern. I'm done. Do yourself a favor. Avoid this place. Spend the extra on another..

Probably the saltiest pizza I’ve EVER had. The cheese never melted either, it was just all around not a tasteful/appetizing pizza.

Not traditional Italian pizza! Typical Joco commercial fast food!! Nothing screams Italian about this pizza shop! Definitely not from mama’s kitchen!

The pizza at this place is an absolute disaster. The crust is thin, soggy, and tastes like cardboard, with zero crunch or flavor. The sauce is a sad, watery mess—barely even qualifies as pizza sauce—and the cheese is a greasy, rubbery nightmare that doesn’t even melt properly. As for the toppings? Don’t get me started. They’re cheap, bland, and look like they’ve been sitting in a freezer for months. Every bite is a letdown, with no real flavor, just a soggy, greasy, tasteless pile of disappointment. If you’re looking for a pizza that actually tastes good, steer clear of this place—this is the kind of pizza that makes you question your life choices.

People are always nice. Nothing like hungry howies in the Detroit area. Pizza was so soaked and wet that it could not even be picked up. Not sure how it made it out of the kitchen.

Ordered the $30 family deal and somehow always turns out to always be over $50. Everytime you order extra cheese or toppings, you're throwing money at them because you don't get them. To save money, just leave toppings normal.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Randall Moran went above and beyond for our family, their food is delicious and his staff was very professional and prompt. I’ve ate at many different locations of hungry howies but, Randall Moran and his staff off of Cleveland road in Clayton is by far the best to come!

First time here. Ordered Howie’s Special Pizza with Asiago cheese crust (takeout). The pizza was really good & flavorful. However, after we started eating it we realized it wasn’t what we ordered. The menu said it has pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, peppers, onions, & cheese. Ours was sausage, peppers, onions & olives and the crust was garlic something-not Asiago cheese. Since they were super busy when we picked it up & it was pouring rain with people rushing in, we’re assuming we just got handed someone else’s pizza by mistake. Hey, mistakes happen, right? They were very friendly & the pizza was good so we’ll try again. We’ll just check it before we leave.

It's been 17 long years since I've had Hungry Howies. Grew up in Michigan and this was a cult favorite. Forgot how sweet the sauce is. Sauce cups aren't free but are comparable bigger than other restaurants. I don't know why other places sell huge slices but keep the sauce cup too small for the slice to handle. I'd say the Hungry Howies one is easily 3x the competitor sized cups. I live an hour away and the gas required to pickup was worth every drop.

It was an absolute treat stumbling upon this Midwest delicacy in NC. It’s not near my house, but is becoming my go-to pizza spot! Friendly staff, great prices, and a clean presence!

The people who work here are extremely friendly and polite. As soon as you walk in, you're joyously greeted. The gentleman working the cash registers were very kind and helpful when I was placing my order. Their turnaround time was quick, and the pizza was hot and delicious. Thanks for a great takeout experience!
