Went down to visit my friend who just moved to Clayton and this is a great spot. Elite tacos and margaritas. Our server Mercedes was awesome. Will be back.

Hidden gem in a small town. The smoked chicken tacos were amazing. The meat was some of the best seasoned, smokey and moist chicken I've ever had. Cute lil place to stop in. Plus tacos! Who doesn't love a good taco 🙂

Emily Beasley, right? That’s quite the response. We were not welcomed into your establishment and the bartender was rude and dismissive. We were very much an inconvenience to her and she only had two tables.
You have received a few negative reviews (some only days apart) and your responses to them are combative and performative. You’re clearly impervious to reproof and as a business owner that’s a dangerous road.

Never got a chance to try this. We walked in and the employee at the bar never acknowledged us so my husband stood at the bar. This was the interaction:
Husband: Hi!
Employee: Sup
Husband: Hey, we wanted to try some tacos.
Employee: grabs a pad, smacks it on the bar “Fill that out” smacks pad again
Husband: turns and walks out

You can be the cool taco place and be kind and inviting. This was none of those things.
I’m bummed because we really wanted to try this place despite people telling us the wait is very long. That said, after this experience we won’t be back. I’ll stick with Mezcalito and Tacos Y Burritos California.

Give those places a try, fabulous service and amazing food!

Pretty disappointed. My husband and I went here for his birthday yesterday and he was really excited to try the food. From the moment we sat down to order a drink the bartender was rude and had a poor demeanor. There was no recovering from that. We decided to leave after one drink. Service after we were initially served was slow and took about 10 minutes after we finished our drink to even be acknowledged and it wasn’t crowded. I can understand if you’re having a bad day, and I empathize with that. But as someone who is also in the customer service industry, that shouldn’t reflect onto other customers. Unfortunately, we will not be returning here.

I got one of each style of taco, 2 steak 1 chicken tinga. The meat was full of smoky flavor, tender, and they weren’t stingy! The generous toppings pair well with the meat, the tradicional was my favorite style. I love the simple ordering style. The place itself is inviting, clean, with a nice vibe in a historic building. Service was fast and friendly. Thank you Lil Hombre for serving the night owls of Clayton!

Small place with limited menu options. I enjoyed my $5 little tacos while sitting at the bar.

As I watch the preparation of many orders I was taken back by the cross contamination of allergens.

The cook used the same utensils across several orders. They also scorch cheese on the taco shells on the same flat top they grilled the meat and veggies on.

Dietary restrictions: Food allergy cross contamination is highly possible by the way tacos are prepared

We had a late lunch/early dinner here and really enjoyed it. The food was great, interior was fun in its design, and had the pleasure of great conversation with our server, Maya. Will be back!
