If you're looking to dine local in Clayton, NC, than look no further than Vinson's. Nothing fancy here. Just traditional American fare with a great selection of beverages with great service and atmosphere and all at a moderate price point. No need to travel into Raleigh for a good meal.

Today, Thursday, July 31st, at around 6:40 p.m., I went to pick up an order at Vinson’s Eatery and had a very unpleasant experience with the staff member handling pickup orders. I politely asked if she could confirm whether the order included ranch, and instead of answering my simple question, she responded in a very rude and dismissive manner, repeatedly saying: “Please confirm your order, please confirm your order.”
I wasn’t complaining about the food — my concern is about the poor customer service. I was simply asking for a quick clarification, and her attitude was completely uncalled for. Customer service should be about helping people, not making them feel uncomfortable or ignored.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the quality of service offered to customers.

Nice bar/restaurant. We tried a lot of stuff here. The mushroom swiss burger was great but we thought it could use some sauce on it. We asked for mayo to put on the burger which made it much better.
The sweet potato fries are waffle fries which I haven't seen before. They were good and crispy. I usually don't like sweet potato fries too much but these were good enough that I would get them again.
The crab cakes here were awesome. I really wasn't expecting much from a bar that makes crab cakes, but I loved these. They were the best thing I ordered by far. I highly recommend them.
The hot wings were just okay. I was expecting more from the hot wings especially since I ate them after trying everything else we ordered. I really thought they were the least inspired food of the night, and most restaurants do them just as good or better. There was nothing *wrong* with the wings, but maybe Vinsons should say world famous burger, or world famous crab cakes, as those were much better than average burgers or crab cakes. Despite that, I would still order these wings again if I wanted wings, it's just that they are nothing special.
Overall I really liked this bar. The food was great, the staff was prompt and courteous, and the prices were very reasonable for what you get.

My first time here. Overall the vibes and service were good (excellent lighting lol). I think my minor complaint is my sides for my salmon were room temp at best but nothing major. The salmon was good though.
I’d definitely come back for their drink specials though.

Food was okay. Others that came in after got food before we did. Only saw waitress one time when she took our order. Manager finally came by and went to check on our food. Been there several times and never had an issue until today.
I like Most of the food.... they could go with a few more sides. And the music is always very very loud which prevents me from going there quite a bit. But the service is always very good on occasion the food's a little off but most of the time it's very good

I went into the restaurant to place an order to go. I had to stand there. People were passing me and no one even said hello. Can I help you. Finally I had to say hello and finally someone helped me. I ordered a hamburger. I was very very disappointed. It was dry and it had no flavor whatsoever
