So my experience at Yi Ge was a bit of a rollercoaster. To begin, when my mother (who was visiting from out of town) and I arrived during the lunch time there was not a single other car in the parking lot. We get inside to be greeted by a host with "ugh I'm just so tired and can't catch a break. I'll seat you"
As he's walking us to our booth, we notice atleast 6-7 of their tables have used dishes stacked and are visibly dirty. Again, we are the only patrons in the restaurant and no one was even leaving when we arrived so not sure why it seemed to be in such disarray.
We sat and ordered and the host (who is also our waiter) seems extremely bothered by our existence. We get our food in a timely manner 👍 and all of the food is actually delicious and the portions are ample for lunch and the price so no complaints with it comes to quality and taste.
However, during our meal the waiter/host has a tendency to make things entirely awkward and uncomfortable. He proceeds to interject himself while my mother and I are talking and eating by saying things like "yea I haven't eaten today" then he'd walk away and come back a minute later and say "I can't eat when things are bothering me" then leave and come back again and say "and when I said that I mean things are bothering me so much in basically fasting.i haven't eaten in like 10 hours " ... as he's standing there drinking a Monster and watching us eat. Returns again after a few minutes and says "and 10 hours is a really long time"
All this time in between interrupting my mother and my meal, he's walking around the restaurant huffing and heavy sighing.
I completely understand mentally struggling, but making patrons/ guests feel uncomfortable to the point where we asked for boxes for our food, not because we were finished, but simply so we could leave the establishment and take it home to eat in peace is not appropriate.
It made the entire experience unenjoyable even tho the food was good.
I'd like to say I'd come back, but if I knew this young man was going to be my waiter.. I'd promptly avoid it.

My husband and I love coming to this place! Sometimes too often lol
We always get the house Udon (sizzling platter of noodles) delicious every time!
Also the walnut chicken! Delicious!! Our two go to plates!
Staff is nice. Quick. And very respectful.
We enjoy talking to the employees.

Very good place. Tried the Shrimp Chow Ho Fun, menu item # HF3. It was very good. Also tried the basil chicken, fried rice, all great. Can definitely recommend this place!
Vegetarian options: I did not remember seeing a ton of vegetarian options. I know that something can certainly be made using Tofu and Veggies, but not sure. The staff is nice so can definitely probably make something

Food was disgusting. Unsanitary food prep. Terrible customer service. They mix up meat and tofu dishes. I do not recommend this place - especially not for vegetarians or vegans.
I ordered a tofu dish today. Had a few bites of tofu (which was mushy and uncooked). Then I bit into my food and found a piece of chicken among the tofu. As you can see in the photo, it's stringy and firm compared to the mushy tofu. My husband eat meat and took a bite to confirm that it was chicken. I immediately called the restaurant, but they were closed.
I called back when they reopened for the day, explained the situation, and was told they would not refund me unless I brought the food back. I explained that I do not live close by and would not be able to drive an hour to show them the chicken in my tofu. I told them I have a photo of the chicken found in my tofu dish. They still refuse to give me a refund.
As a vegan, I'm disgusted that they could mix up vegetarian and meat dishes. But it's also just appalling that they are refusing to refund my money.
My husband said the chicken wasn't even good. Don't believe the other reviews and don't bother with this place.
Vegetarian options: Found chicken in my tofu dish. Do not eat here.
Dietary restrictions: They mix up meat and vegetarian options so I wouldn't trust them to keep any dietary restrictions.

Amazing selection of roast duck dishes. I really love the duck fried rice check every where looking for this dish since I moved from London 5 years ago until I was recommended to come here and this has been my new spot ever since. Now my mission is to try every duck dish that is on the menu. The 15-20 minute drive is worth it.

A very decent Americanized Chinese, great service, great ambience. Fortune was also... Just kinda silly.
Food was good for the whole party of 8, and the platters were fantastic. Was personally looking for some more traditional fare personally, but if you're looking for Great Americanized Chinese Yi Ge hits all the right notes.

Tried Yo Ge at the Taste of China event in Downtown Cary on Nov 1. The spring rolls were sooo good, we drove 30 mins today to go to the restaurant and it was worth the drive. Best Chinese food we have had in 6 years living here. And Andrew was a excellent server!

Ordered door dash 28th October, paid $6 for fries and got exactly 14 fries! The duck curry was swimming in grease and was bone and gristle, Mongolian beef watery and no flavor, rice was delivered in polystyrene so was stone cold! paid $60 put $59 of it in the trash. Won’t order here again.

Only good thing about this place is it seems to be clean. Not sure the sanitation grade but it is easy to keep clean when no lunch crowd, at all. Went with 4 people, only 2 other tables were sat. Placed our orders, 2 plates came out. They ate close to half their dishes, 3rd came out. He ate most of his, 1st 2 already done. It went from pissed to comical. The entire time the owner was at one of the 2 sat tables eating and watching doing nothing but watching, and eating. Blamed it on the kitchen that was waiting for non-existant orders to be put it. Asked if they caught that chicken yet. Told them to box it to go because it was work lunch(we didn't have 2 hours for lunch). Wasn't looking for free meal but offered no comp or discount. I have never trashed a seemingly clean place but this is one to avoid, keep driving. There is a Culvers about a block away. Get your oriental craving any place else. Thought an entree and not buffet joint would be good. Not, food had no taste at all. Took it home to my rescue pig, he enjoyed it. Never again yige
Dietary restrictions: Good luck getting your food if there is more than one person at the table. Probably won't have to worry about allergies
Parking: No problem parking, there was nobody eating there. Good luck inside.

OVERPRICED.
Charged additional 5 dollars over the price for not paying cash.
We are not hungry so didn't order much. But still around $30 in average. If you want to eat to full may need $50

Best Chinese food I’ve had in YEARS. Absolutely everything was exceptional. Light (as in not greasy or oily), fresh, and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the spring rolls (vegetarian) and the fried rice! The prices are extremely fair, especially considering the massive portion sizes. Also the staff is extremely sweet and chatted with us which was nice :)
This is definitely my new Chinese food spot, absolutely worth the 15 min drive from Garner
