We’ve visited this location twice. As others have stated, the texture of the Italian ice here is kind of off putting. It’s almost slimy, which Italian ice should never be if made fresh. But according to the lady working here, the containers are made elsewhere and shipped in. Because of this, you can only get one flavor no matter what size you get (no mix and match to prevent cross contamination). Also no sampling. Flavor wise, I do think they could improve here as well. It’s not truly fruity, but more like a candy-type sweetness, almost artificial. That combined with the texture is just undesirable. We really wanted to like it though.

My family loves Mama Mia’s! The bagels are outta this world, so I often stop for them. Rainbow flavor Italian ice is the family favorite but I love a traditional lemon. You can’t go wrong with their pretzels either. Great local business to cool off and enjoy a treat!Parking: There is always a lot of parking in this shopping center.Kid-friendliness: My kids love to go to Mama Mia’s and they get really excited to see it represented a local events with their Italian Ice cart! The staff is very kind to children and we always feel welcome.
A true hidden gem in Clemmons! Mama mia has a wide variety of Italian ice brought in from New York. I've tried several flavors (my favorite being orange vanilla) & it truly is the most creamy & flavor Italian ice I've had.If Italian ice isn't your thing they also have frozen bagels brought in from New York as well. They are fantastic to take home & have for breakfast. I have not personally tried them but they also offer Italian cookies & pre made pasta sauces/pizzas for an easy take and make at home dinner.

I have visited this location, the Icee is okay but the Woman that runs the place seems very cautious in handing you back your change! It's like she does not want her finger to even touch your finger, hand, nothing. I find this odd and very Racist because I am a Black Female! Two exchanges of money and she acted as if She dare not slip and touch my hand or finger! Not a very good look at all! Screams Racism! I will not be returning! Contrary to your response below, I reiterate, your actions showed a woman that seems to have some problems with Black People, you can scoop the icee with no problem, had no problem accepting my money, yet you refused to accidently touch my finger? If that is not a Racist act, I don't know what is...

Mama Mia's is a hidden gem in Clemmons! I walked in expecting Italian Ice and was very pleasantly surprised to see the wide variety of products products they have shipped in from New York. They have a huge assortment of bagels shipped in from New York as well as different breads and pizza dough. I got half a dozen bagels and they did not disappoint! They come frozen, so just leave the one you want to eat in the fridge overnight to defrost and toast it. They beat any bagel I have been able to find in Winston thus far. The Italian ice is also delicious, it is creamy, flavorful and not too sweet. The Italian Ice is also shipped in from New York so it is about as authentic as it gets. I would definitely give them a try if you're ever in the mood for some Italian Ice or need some bagels.

I'm so glad I finally stopped in to grab some bread. On the other hand I might just always be "too lazy" from now on and get all my bread from them instead of baking it myself.I grabbed some french bread, semolina bread, and half a dozen kaiser rolls. I think I make really good subs but it's hard to find the perfect sub bread unless you bake it yourself. I gotta say the stuff they get from NY is way better than my bread. I can't wait to go back and grab some bagels. I thought I was going to have to wait until October for some NY bagels so I'm very pleased that I can drive 10 minutes down the road now and grab someI'm not from NYC but I loved the BEC from any corner deli. I grabbed the rolls so I could make my own. Also some Taylor ham from the store so I can make a ham, egg, and cheese Kaiser rollHighly recommend checking them out and taking some goodies home to try.Here's the sub I made with the semolina bread*I know it's not a true NYC sub bc I don't use a lot of meat. I just don't like a lot of meat on my subs.*Definitely going back for some pretzels, Italian ice, bagels, and black and whites.I don't have a pizza oven so I don't make pizza at home but based on these reviews I might have to grab a kit to try!
From Long Island originally, very cool to buy our pizza kit and black and white cookies. I bought rolls too of course and made great sandwiches with them. I know we are not pizza pros, my kids had fun and that's what matters. I'll definitely be back soon.

Always a pleasure to stop here and have a treat. The owner brings in all of the NY delicacies and serves them up with a smile. The Italian Ices are smooth and flavorful, from one of the original shops in the city.We go at least once a week!

Cold, slimy, kenetic sand with a bad taste is the best way I can describe this "Italian ice." I've had real Italian ice before, and this wasn't it. This stuff from Mama Mia's is so gross that I couldn't eat half of what I bought. I'm the type that NEVER wastes food either. Also, none of my family liked it.For what it's worth, the lady working there was nice and place was clean.
