This is one of the very few remaining Mexican spots in the Triad that I had not visited, so today I checked this box. I was interested in 2 items on the menu - Pepino($2.99) and Birria de Res ($13.99). The interior is very brightly appointed, providing a festive feeling. And the Thursday drink special was a 16 ounce draft for $2.99, so I went with that. My beer and the complementary chips and salsa arrived momentarily. This is good salsa, with a bit more heat than most. The Pepino was soon on the table, as well. This is a very, very simple dish that I first had at a Mexico City central market in the late '70s. It consists of peeled, chilled cucumber slices, to which you add salt, chile flakes, and fresh lime juice, to suit your tastes . It is a very refreshing way to begin a meal in a warm day! The was as perfect start to my first meal here. The Birria de Res is simply the stew from which Birria Tacos gains their filling, and the liquid, or consommé, is part of this dish! The meat, in this instance beef, is marinated, then slow cooked in a red chile broth until falling apart tender. This dish was perfect - huge portion of very tender, very flavorful shredded beef which you top with chopped cilantro and white onion - and I like to add lime juice and Mexican hot sauce - and occasionally I will get side orders of sliced jalapeños and/or grilled onions. It comes with your choice of tortillas so you can build your own Birria tacos if you so choose. This was a very nice first experience here, the service was first class, and I was given a small complementary dessert - kinda cool I thought! This place is exactly why I rarely pass up a restaurant that maybe doesn't have the acclaim of others, or isn't authentic enough for some - you will find a gem that makes the occasional stinker a risk worth taking, maybe only a single dish or two - which I will continue to do. Entering the restaurant I noticed the updated/new tables outside of restaurant, really looks nice and amazinly comforter. I really nice set up to relax after work or just anytime. My Mom and I got the same thing the Taco combination platter. The waiter was pleasant and the food was quick and amazingly delicious as usual. We were in and out super fast with full bellies. You can't go wrong here, always pleasantly surprised. The side of Nachos with their authentic salsa is really good too, so this is a must while your visiting them. Dana Rock

The food was delicious prices are not expensive and they give you so much. The way most restaurants do not anymore, I was amazingly surprised at how much you got, and we had the lunch which is usually small but not here, they served as a dinner from before covid times! Very impressed. So freaking yummy. The place is so colorful and pretty and servers are so nice. Definitely recommend

Asked for a 2nd dish of salsa, which they happily provided, but it tastes a little "off", totally different from the first one. Will go again.
I just finished eating here and had the absolute worst experience. I ordered a combination plate with one enchilada one tamale with rice and beans. I took about 4 bites of my food before finding a thick course black hair in my tamale. Upon notifying the server a manager was brought to my table with a younger guy to translate. Here they tried to tell me that the hair I found in my food was silk from the corn husk used to make my tamale. I immediately informed them that I have been a chef for 10 years and have made tamales and that was no silk. They continued to insist that it was not a hair. I got my check and proceeded to the counter my wife's food was fine so I was definitely willing to pay for everything else but I noticed my plate that I was unable to eat was still on my check. When I got to the counter the same manager was there and left before I got to the front of the line. I informed the girl behind the counter what had happened and that I would not be paying for my plate. She also proceeds to argue with me and tell me that was not a hair which I know very well the difference between corn silk and a human hair. She begrudgingly took it off my check and was noticeably upset about it. This may be the worst customer service experience I have ever been a part of. No chance in hell I will ever eat here again and I advise anyone reading this to steer clear. Completely unacceptable!
