Great food. They had catered an event for my office and everybody really enjoyed it. I've eaten here a few times since and still enjoy it. Good service, good portion sizes. Reasonably priced. The Deviled eggs appetizer is good. They bring little cheese biscuits while you wait on your food. Brisket, catfish, beans, BBQ corn on the cob and Mac N Cheese are good choices besides of BBQ.
My favorite is the pulled chicken with their white sauce. Try it!

Last night I joined a few friends for a birthday celebration at Jim and Nick’s. I was excited to eat there as it’s been years since I’ve visited and the restaurant had previously catered my wedding back in 2019. I was excited for the nostalgia. What I wasn’t prepared for though was how horribly understaffed the restaurant was during dinner hours. I mean it was chaotic and noticeably understaffed. It took nearly 45 minutes to get our food and the bread wasn’t even being baked fast enough to serve the tables that were there. I’m leaving a review solely to give a shout out to our server, Gloria. This superhero of a server was not only taking care of my party of 5 table, but was running a full bar, and what looked like 2 separate sections all by herself. She more than had her hands full. I’ve spent 15 years in the service industry and if I had a night like Gloria had I’d be going home to some hard liquor. I don’t know how she did it, but she did. And she even did it with an upbeat attitude and some serious kindness. It was definitely a making lemonade out of lemons situation and she handled it like a pro. She deserves a raise, some recognition, and maybe a paid vacation. Thank you for putting up with chaos to serve others, Gloria. You are appreciated.

I have high expectations for NC BBQ this place failed to meet my expectations on NC BBQ meat was dry nothing fall off the bone. No seasoning or anything. Sides were underwhelming and service on a slow day and time to be seated was ridiculous to have so many empty tables!!

This isn’t our first time eating at this BBQ restaurant—we actually drove an hour to get here. However, our experience this time was disappointing.

When we arrived, the young host didn’t greet us; he simply asked how many were in our party. I requested a booth, but he shook his head no and walked off without explanation. We waited, and when he returned, he gave us an unwelcoming look before saying, “Come.” We figured he was probably young and new to the job, so we didn’t let it bother us too much.

The real disappointment was the food quality. Our plates arrived with cold BBQ meat. We ordered the combination plate with two meats and two sides, and the only thing that was actually warm was the mac and cheese.

It may be a while before we decide to give this place another try. It wasn’t just the lack of customer service—it was the poor food quality that left us truly dissatisfied.

Staff needs to do their job and stop taking to their friends that come in. Had to have manager bring our food because waiteris was talking to her friends. Had to get manger to take my check so I could leave also...sad place.

I'm a bit of a rib snob when I go to a BBQ place. This was my 3rd time eating JimnNicks. All 3 times I ordered ribs, varying sides (fixings).
I think if you don't want ribs, you'll have an excellent experience.
Their ribs are consistently too dry and what I would certainly consider sub par with regards to other bbq places' ribs
choices.

I tried to place my order at the drive through but the girl working today just kept repeating 😭 and she could not get my order straight so I drove to the window and still she couldn't get the order entered. I finally gave up after 15 minutes. I watched the next customer try to order then speed off. This place needs help

Not a great first impression. Good service, but the worst bbq brisket I've ever had. Maybe getting it to go was the problem and they gave me the fattiest leftover slices wrapped in plastic wrap. Idk I ate it in the parking lot because i was really hungry, but i wont be doing that again.

Love the service and vibe in there! However, the food is so so only. The brisket tastes like normal beef pieces: it’s not really smoked or tender like real as brisket should. Then the pulled pork or whatever tastes funny…I can’t even chew and swallow it…bc it just tastes so funny. All the trimmings are really good though! Like the mac and cheese and fries! If you’re looking for quality bbq place, this is not it. But if your fave bbq is out or far then this place will do. Also, the bbq sauce is not good, lol. Considering it’s a bbq restaurant. It’s light in color and just sour. I can’t really taste that bbq flavor if you know what I mean.
