Wow! We've eaten here before but it's been a while. Very impressed. Friendly waitress (Makenzie), I had the 2 meat platter - ribs and smoked turkey (or you can get 3) with 2 sides and hush puppies. The ribs were fantastic! Moist (yes,I said moist) and flavorful. Some for the best baby back ribs I've ever eaten!! The smoked turkey breast was served in aluminum foil and guess what -- it was moist too! Baked beans were saucy with bits of BBQ meat mixed in. ...
I've tried this place a few times and it just doesn't hit the mark for me. Here's why.
1. Everything I've had is under seasoned or not seasoned at all.
2. Brisket is cooked well done so it's dry! The brisket when I got it had no seasoning.
3. Their fried corn is corn on the cob (which isn't stated on the website menu. I thought it was gonna be off the cob) in a batter. That batter tastes like...

This is a wonderful local restaurant! The staff are warm and welcoming. The food is delicious and the restaurant is clean. The new outdoor porch seems to be big draw, as is the addition of a beer and wine license for the restaurant.
