Food was very tasty. The steaks are very very over priced, as steak typically is in chains going for a white table cloth feel. Ribs and shrimp and grits are better value. Highly recommend the cornbread skillet with drizzled honey.
It's extremely dark in the restaurant, needlessly to a point, which detracts from the presentation of the food against the contrast of the table cloth and your drinks. Additionally, it's difficult to see your wait staff. Over head lights would be better than fake table candles.
The restaurant can be very busy, and attracts a pretentious customer base , but don't feel as if you have to dress up. It's fine dining, but it is by no means fancy.
Finally, one of the wait staff, Ethan, was very robotic, only speaking in a memorized script. Encourage him to ease up. The pressure is very low

If your only in Huntersville once you have to try 131 Main! Great for foodies, date night, or just a good meal. My wife loves the ribeye with pineapple, my fav is the PeanutButter pie! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
My first visit to this location was after an ultrasound with my doctor. The food was great and the baby cravings brought me back! They have several appetizer options that don’t disappoint; their dip trio & honey cornbread are yummy. They always have a special of the day & the servers do a great job explaining the options. Their Kale & Quinoa salad, veggie burger, fries & mashed potatoes are delicious! I frequented a few more times throughout my pregnancy & even visited the Charlotte SouthPark location but, enjoy the ambiance of this location more. I appreciate the level of service they provide & how quickly appetizers & entrees come out.
Curbside/ToGo service is always fast & orders are always accurate dine in or take out.
Update: still one of the consistently great restaurants in the area. Latest visit for a birthday dinner. Add to the yum list - Carolina Trout, Pineapple soy marinated Rib Eye and the Banana Cream Pie!

Our dinner and experience was incredible. The service that you get here is top notch. They use a team approach to service and it really shows attentiveness and makes you feel important. Shanice, our primary server was great. She was friendly and checked on us frequently. The food was on another level. I had the cowboy ribeye which was cooked to perfection and was so juicy and tender I could’ve cut it with a butter knife. It had amazing flavor. Another person in our party had the lamp chops and said they were incredible. I am a Caesar salad fanatic. I’m always in search of the best one. Well, search no more cause the best Caesar salad is at 131 Main. The dressing is delicious and their cornbread croutons and fresh grated Parmesan cheese are amazing. It’s an incredible restaurant. The female mgr (sorry I can’t recall her name) came over and spoke to us. She was so nice and personable. Everything from the top to the bottom was exceptional. Don’t walk….run to 131 Main in Cornelius.

A wonderful special occasion place that's gives more than it gets. The service is unmatched in any restaurant I've ever visited. You really feel taken care of in a team service method. The food is sumptuous. The inviting wood fire flavor aroma of the restaurant welcomes you inside. The ambience is calm, warm, like a lit candle on a winters night. All of this for a reasonable price for the experience. Our server, Shanice, was lovely and attentive. Whoever is running this business, and hiring the people are making all the right decisions. The ribeye steak, ribs, lamb, and caesar salad were delicious.
