Choplin's Restaurant

I struggle with evaluating or rating Choplins. Short staffed on a Wednesday so food delivery took a while but once food arrived it was very good. I keep waiting for Choplins to put the two together. Thanks

Great experience overall. Please note that when using a Groupon, the 20% gratuity is calculated on the original price of the services, not the discounted total. Because of this, the gratuity may appear higher when compared to the final Groupon check. In our case, the total check was $125, and the gratuity was 30% of our total check. This was my only disappointment. The waiter was okay and did not deserve $37 tip.

Great service on the phone and in person. I had an issue with my Mango rice once and I called and they were happy to replace. The same person who seats you may be the same person who takes your order, answer the phone, and complete take out! Very busy but never too busy to tend to their customers! Try their cucumber salad, wide rice noodles, mango sticky rice, and thia tea! 5 stars!

My wife and I went there - been living here 25 years and never been there. We were excited to go.
We got there - waitress treated us like she did not want us there.
Horrible service. (Maybe she just didn't like our faces. LOL)
If you aren't a regular - forget about it.

Choplin's is my all time favorite. We go there for every special occasion. Last night, we went for my birthday. It was delicious.

Wes is wonderful, we have never been disappointed with him. He’s a wonderful part of our community and his skills in the kitchen are wonderful! His meals are always amazing and he also typically comes out to say hello. We have been his patrons for over 15 years! And we go every time we can. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It started out positive when we arrived. The hostess was very friendly, and the ambiance initially felt romantic. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there.

This restaurant presents itself as upscale, with higher end prices to match, yet we were seated at tables covered with white paper tablecloths, which immediately felt out of place. Our server, Watson, was inattentive and lacked any personality. Throughout most of the meal, I sat without water, even after specifically asking for it.

We ordered the $4 bread service, which was an odd combination of a roll covered in what tasted like garlic salt and served with sweet butter. For appetizers, we had the French onion soup, which was the only real highlight of the meal aside from the reserve wine, which was good.

For our entrées, my wife ordered the filet with mashed potatoes. It was, without exaggeration, the worst steak either of us has ever had. While the color appeared close to medium rare as ordered, it tasted like a well done hamburger, dry and chewy. I ordered the chicken marsala. It was not terrible, but it certainly was not something I would ever order again.

We also ordered mac and cheese, which never came out at all.

When the server checked on us after the first few bites, we normally would not complain, but the steak was so bad that we felt compelled to say something. He said he would speak to the kitchen. We then asked for the check and ordered a key lime dessert to go. No one ever came to speak with us, apologize, or attempt to make things right.

After leaving, we ended up ordering Chick fil A instead. When we got home and opened the dessert box, it was not even key lime pie. It was some kind of lemon cake.

Between the poor food quality, inattentive service, and lack of accountability, this was a very disappointing experience. Never again.

The service was amazing! Our waitress Kelly was attentive to our needs. The Chef/Owner took time to personally great us as well. Our dinner was simply an experience .

We just had a wonderful experience at Choplin's. Our first time visiting and as soon as we walked in we knew we were in for a nice evening. The vibe is cool and sophisticated, jazzy background music, dimly lit,upscale dining. We were celebrating a special occasion which was recognized as soon as we entered and continued throughout the evening, Sky our waitress provided wonderful service, if you're looking for a great date night or special occasion spot look no further, this is it! They also do private dining, many thumbs up, highly recommend!

Needed a quick place to eat and found a reservation on open table for us and our kids. Choplin's has always been one of our favorites. I was surprised when then greeted us and said “happy anniversary!” I did not put that in my reservation but it was on my open table profile so extra bonus points for being so observant! Kelly was our server, she was fantastic and kind. Food is always on point but like everywhere else the prices are creeping up. Saw the bad reviews on here and I can attest that I have never experienced anything other than excellent food and service. We have been coming here for over 10 years.
