The food here is not worth the price.
I ordered the spicy shrimp bowl, and it was mostly rice with about 8 pieces of shrimp. The staff states that this is standard, and I stand by my review that it is not worth the price of $20.
We prefer store-bought Costco Sushi over the $25 sushi we ordered.
After our entire party arrived, we decided to go over to the counter to flag a waitress to take our order, after waiting about 10 minutes after the entire party had received water.
We decided to ask for the check after waiting too long in the uncomfortable seats.
20% automatic gratuity is a fair policy but I did not feel the service was up to that standard.
The staff requested that I modify my original 2 star review to be more accurate. The reply from the company (attached here) was rude and inconsiderate, hence the new 1 star review.

I had an amazing experience at Cool Fish in Cornelius! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, but what really made my visit special was the incredible customer service from Elijah Allen. He was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Elijah took the time to answer questions, made great recommendations, and checked in often without ever being pushy. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about their customers’ experience the way he does.

To start with the good: none of the food was bad. The ramen was even quite good. But the loaded spring rolls were soggy because of the Kani salad on top and pretty meh. The Roll was plain. The nigiri was so cold and tasteless it seemed like it was just barely un-frozen. I may even go back to try again in cause any of this was a fluke.
The service was less than great, weird interactions, checking in on food before we'd had a chance to try it, at a tiny little table that wasn't cleared until we asked for it to be, has to oddly ask for the check as well.
The place overall feels like a restaurant that wants to be a bar. Tiny tables, loud with music and the staff even when we were the only guests in the place, uncomfortable seats.
But worst of all its wildly overpriced. $18 for a single roll that wasn't very good, $19 for ramen, $11 for 3 spring rolls. Ended up spending $80 bucks for two people for food that wasn't worth the value. Id probably give it 3 stars if it wasn't overpriced for what you get.

I was extremely disappointed in the sushi rolls. Very bland flavor. I ordered the Tiger roll $18.99 for 8 small pieces. There was no flavor to what I ate. I would say it was comparable to sushi from the grocery store. It took about 20 minutes for my to go order. The bartender and manager were excellent hosts and very engaging. I would not order food from here again.

Restaurantji Recommends
The sushi here tastes like grocery store sushi. It’s hard and chewy like it’s been in the fridge for days. For the price this is unacceptable. Grocery store sushi is cheaper and tastes the same. Skip this place.

Put order over the phone. Got to restaurant and order was missing food which they forgot to add to the ticket. Made me then pay for their mishap and had to wait another 10 minutes while the made the missing food. So disappointed.

Other than being super expensive, the food was excellent as was the service. The chairs were most uncomfortable sadly.

Food is meh and overpriced for how little you get. I paid $20 for a half filled bowl of rice, B- meat, overpickled but otherwise plain carrots and cucumber, and (i shit you not) a single strand of green onion. The wings were good, so for that, I'll give them credit. The asian bar inside Harris Teeter is absolutely better tasting and I'd die fighting on that not so steep hill
There are so many better places nearby to get food like this that is the same price or cheaper OR you get more food
