We have been here several times. It our Date night... It was a little bit busier due to it being a Saturday and cold out, but the food and atmosphere are always perfect.

We had a great experience. The wild boar was really good. We thought about stopping in a few times in the past, never got around to it. Super happy we came in. Service was good, atmosphere was cozy. Recommended.

We always enjoy going to Barrel and Fork. Great service, and alot of fun at the bar! Bartenders know their stuff! We sat at a table with a friend and the service was excellent. Prices are higher, that seems to be the rate for a higher end restaurant. Food was amazing! I had yhe scallops with butternut squash risotto.

Had a great Birthday dinner here last night. Everything from the atmosphere to the food to the service was great. I had the Filet and it was cooked perfectly. Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life. The bar drinks were also good. We loved the unique bar glasses. I will say that the risotto was not as good as I heard it was. If anything it tasted old like it had been reheated too much in the microwave. Their prices are high that's for sure.

Absolutely phenomenal! From the atmosphere to the delicious food, this place is amazing. We absolutely loved the Wagyu Ribeye. It was by far the best steak I’ve ever had. The service was superb. We honestly cannot wait to go back! Thank you all so much for a wonderful evening.

B&F delivered an outstanding restaurant experience last night - the food was delicious, and the service was attentive, timely, and kind - highlights of the dinner included the egg rolls, pear salad, and the ribeye. A terrific meal - tip of the cap to the Chef and his team.

Outstanding dinner, dessert and service-everything was great. Flavor! The atmosphere is lovely and the management and staff go out of their way to make dining a memorable experience. A gem in the Cornelius/Charlotte region. Great mix of music also.
Update: Feedback: I need the restaurant to offer more chicken and fish options and less pork/beef. This is such a great place but I am submitting an adjusted review (3 years later) after realizing we have stopped frequenting the restaurant due to their limited dining menu. Cocktails are still solid.

I’m honestly disappointed to write this because I’ve been a big fan of Barrel & Fork since 2022. We’ve been regulars for years — the atmosphere is always fantastic, and the staff are wonderful people. But lately, the food has been so hit or miss that it’s hard to ignore.

It feels like no one is actually tasting the dishes before they go out. The menu changes often, and unfortunately, the best items keep disappearing, replaced with less successful dishes. I miss the days when you could count on fresh fish over that incredible risotto — even the risotto doesn’t taste as fresh or flavorful as it used to.

The past three visits, I’ve ordered fish, and each time it’s been a disappointment. The halibut was inedible, and my husband’s salmon was just okay — definitely not up to Barrel & Fork’s usual standards. The Wagyu meatball appetizer, though, was excellent. I’d recommend sticking to meat dishes or simple appetizers like calamari until things improve.

The drinks have also gone downhill. I tried their new gin cocktail, which the server said was the most popular on the menu — but it was oddly milky and not enjoyable. Please bring back Ghost of Shiloh — it was by far your best drink.

Barrel & Fork, please get back to what made you great: consistent quality, well-executed fish dishes, and those classic favorites that made people fall in love with your place in the first place.
