I'm from France and don't understand what's French in here
We absolutely loved this tea room!! We came in and had brunch and everything was so good! The food did take a little while to get to our table, but since everything is made fresh, it’s completely understandable. The space is smaller than most places (but again, they are a cafe not a restaurant!) we loved the ambiance, staff, and food! Really cute cafe for a brunch date!!!

The Best Tea room
My sister and I absolutely love this bakery. It was such a great experience. It was a bit pricy but, well worth it. The tea section was such a treat. I do want to go back with my daughters when they come to visit.

Honestly, not very impressed, the truffles were just eh. The chocolate coatings on the truffles were way too thick and the flavorings were overly sweet (the thickness of the chocolates did not help). They had a small (I mean small) tea room and the “waiting area” was cramped and small. Listen, I know they want to sell what they have, but either they need a larger space or to remove some of the products so there is more room to move around. Honestly, not impressed, I would rather drive to downtown Monroe and go to the tea shop there than to go here.

Red flag to visit a restaurant multiple times and be turned away multiple times when it’s empty. On this occasion We arrived a few minutes before 12 and were told because there was a large party at 1 they couldn’t seat us. The only table seated in the entire restaurant when we came in was occupied by workers/owners who were doing nothing. If someone doesn’t want my business after multiple attempts of visiting a seemingly empty restaurants it’s not worth my time. I’ve also read they are not kid friendly which is a turnoff on top of all of this. Overall the establishment lacks sophistication in service, acumen, and ambience, definitely not what I think of when I think of a French cafe!
Food is always exceptional. Service very polite and efficient. Hadn't been in there for like 2 or 3 months. The young waitress recognized me and remembered what I had ordered the last time I was there. I don't remember what I ate for lunch yesterday and she remembered me from 3 months ago. Crazy. Love the atmosphere. Very eclectic and cozy but small. Doesn't take away from it at all. Great little shop that has you wanting to try one of everything.

This experience was absolutely horrible. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am going break this review up because there are so many issues.1. AMBIANCE, SPACE, and CUSTOMER SERVICE.The owner was so rude and refuses to accommodate. This is my fourth time being there and I left so upset and angry with the way my family and I were treated. The owner boasts about how she is highly trained yet her tea room is crowded with overstock, her hours are limited, the tables are too close together, and she sets ridiculous rules. She told us that we were not allowed to remove our tea steepers from the pots because she was worried about her table clothes. However, this caused the tea to become over-steeped and bitter. My grandmother made a comment that we would not be returning and the owner spun around, came back to the table and told us we were being extremely rude and were not allowed to say that. My grandmother expressed that this is how she was feeling and the owner continued to fight with us, stating that she is the owner and can do what she wants. This is true; she is the owner and can do what she wants however, she made no attempt to fix the problem we were having and simply resorted to arguing. We had taken the tea steeper out and placed it on a small dish, being careful not to spill on the table clothes but this was not allowed. She literally forced us to put them back into our tea pot. The table clothes were plastic and festive, meaning that she changes them out for the season. I would understand her concern for the table clothes if they were sentimental or high value but they most likely came from Walmart. Her shop is not accommodating for anyone with disabilities, due to the lack of space which she has created. Her space could be disability-friendly but she stuffs so many racks and random knick-knacks that customers are constantly apologizing to other customers for simply standing up, sitting down, trying to get to the restroom, or exiting the building. Additionally, she claims to have a dress code but her waitress was wearing leggings, a tshirt, and sneakers.2. QUALITY OF FOODNearly all of the food is pre packaged, not homemade, and something you could get much cheaper from any local grocery store. These are the foods not homemade: mini quiches (Aldi brand), chocolate petit fours, croissants, all mini desserts, cream cheese, chicken salad, and probably many more. Once again, the tea became over steeped due to being left in the pot. For those with stomach issues, do not go here and expect to be accommodated. I have anxiety induced IBS, which was flared up after eating a few things. Although they offered styrofoam to-go boxes to other customers, I was not given that option because we were told to stay and eat or leave without our food. Given those options and the fact that it is $50 per person and gratuity is automatically included, I was forced to make myself uncomfortable eating food when styrofoam to go boxes sat being unused.3. OTHER TEA ROOMS IN THE AREA (and beyond)If you are in the area, save yourself the frustration and go to the Ballantyne Hotel and have their tea. It is a thousand times better experience, ambiance, and food. I have been to the following places to attend their high tea and all of them are significantly better: Disney World- Epcot, UK pavilion, Rose and Crown (here you are taught how to properly steep tea, time tea, and much more), the O’Henry Hotel in Greensboro NC, the Lady Elegant Tea Room in St. Paul, MN, and the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill NC.As I stated before, this is my fourth time attending. The other three times were in Spring 2020, December 2022, and Summer 2021. We never had the same issues, except for the food becoming pre packaged.

Really cute, quaint restaurant with a small, simple menu that is all expertly executed. All of the food here is made with love. Wait times can be longer as each item is prepared by a lone chef to order. The wait is worth it.You should almost always have a reservation as seating is limited, and space fills quickly. We got lucky there were a few emply seats when we showed up.Be sure to wear your Sunday best as there is a dress code here. Leave the leisurewear at home. You really can't go wrong with any of the soups, salads, or sandwiches. Even the escargot is great if that's your thing.

" The place is nice, with a wide variety of artisanal chocolates that delight the senses. However, the service was slow, perhaps they were a bit tired as it was an hour before closing. The vibe of the place wasn't the best, which took away some of the charm from the experience."

Editing my 5 star review from a year ago because unfortunately I didn't have the same experience a year later. We waited over a half hour past our reserved time outside and were crammed in like sardines sitting close enough to others that the lady sitting next to me hair was on our table. The food was decent but it just wasn't the same experience I've had before.
