FOOD-Where Jumbo Shrimp are regular sized shrimp and you only get 4 shrimp and the Filet Mignon is cut in half of what you paid for. Would not order with the upgrades again if I return.
The best deal would have been to order a regular steak and shrimp. Lobster tail size was decent.The food was good in the end with the teriyaki sauce but deceptive pricing and product output overall.
NO WAIT- We set a reservation 1 hr before and it was just as they opened on a Saturday. We were accomodated right away. Manager greeted us and was very pleasant.
STAFF- waitress was great. Order was accurate and she was attentive, Chef was good with around 3 tricks (typical hibachi experience but not overly impressive). That's ok we came for the food.
CLEANLINESS- If they can make their floors less greasy that may be also great.
ATMOSPHERE- Dining areas are nice with separate compartments for private parties and dimly lit for a intimate atmosphere. There is a misleading sign that says KOBE up high outfront seen from the highway but the actual restaurant is NOBORU on the door.

Place is really nice, and a lot of the cooks are fun to watch. The one we had was old and stiff. He didn't do any spatula flipping, very slow and boring. I don't get his name but he said he was from Guatemala. Other chefs were much more active and having fun.

I have to say I really don’t recommend coming here for any birthdays and/or special events! The staff is very rude not friendly or welcoming just lots of attitude from the start and we hadn’t even said anything yet so I’m not sure what their problem is. I came for my 26th birthday and brought a cake and the minute we walked in the hostess was filled with attitude and didn’t make us feel welcome at all. To make matters worse I simply asked if they could put my cake in the fridge and then bring it out for dessert and we would of course have no issues paying a fee for that aswell! She rudely said no and refused to take the cake then told us we can have the cake but they will charge us for it and no provide or do anything?! That’s crazy so I told her that there is no shortage of Japanese steakhouses around and we left immediately! We pay too much money and have worked too hard to have my night ruined so we went to kobuto Japanese steakhouse in huntersville instead and they treated us like royalty! No joke they were honored to take my cake and celebrate with me! They made us feel like family from the moment we got there and made my birthday celebration so beyond special! Don’t give this place your money go try kobuto!

I've been here several times and the food is good and the portions very reasonable. I've also had their sushi, which is well presented. This last time our hibachi cook seemed tired and bored with the routine, maybe just having a bad day? I'd still rate this place a solid 4 stars. Great for groups up to about 8. Kids always love the slightly cheesy show.

My experience here was mixed. Our waiter wasn’t very attentive, and there was a billing issue where another party at our table was charged for sushi they never ordered. To their credit, it was eventually corrected.

I ordered scallops (with a $6 upcharge), but they were unfortunately undercooked. The portion sizes were also surprisingly small. It seemed like the manager or owner noticed and had the (clearly newer) hibachi chef prepare some extra noodles and vegetables for us, which I appreciated.

While they did make an effort to correct the issues, the overall experience wasn’t quite what I expected. I’m giving 3 stars because they ultimately made things right, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Absolutely the best experience. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. The owner is the nicest man!! Great service, chef and bartender were all amazing!Food was fantastic!! We had a blast!! Highly, HIGHLY recommend!
