Noboru Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

Absolutely amazing!!!!! From start to finish I don't think there is a thing I would have changed. Clean and welcoming environment. The owner takes great pride in his food and staff and it really shows. He made several suggestions, all of which were spot on. All of their sauces are made in house and not a single one disappointed. The quality/quantity of food, prices, sauces, staff and the whole restaurant in general has cemented its place in my list of MUST stops when we're in or around Charlotte.

This place was yummy! May have been one of the best Japanese table-side restaurants I’ve been to. Smaller portions than other places, but much more tasty. Will definitely be back!

If I could give this place a ZERO I would. We had reservations for 8:30 pm and stood at an empty hostess station waiting over 7 mins and weren’t acknowledged. I happen to see the manager on duty to let him know we have been standing at the hostess station to be seated. He dismissed us like we were peasants, yelling saying “I only saw you standing there about a minute, but ok hold on I’m doing something right now, I’ll be with you in a bit!” I asked him why he didn’t at least acknowledge us? He was extremely rude, and dismissive. We left. I refuse to spend my money where I do not feel welcome. They never have to worry about me darkening their doorstep EVER!

Had a great time at this restaurant! The food was wonderful and our chef was very entertaining. The portion sizes were large, and I felt like the menu prices were quite reasonable for this type of meal. I will be back for sure. FYI I would highly recommend making a reservation!

This is our go to Japanese Restaurant! The owner always makes a point to come by and speak to everyone. He also remembers us every time we visit which is impressive. The food is always great and the service is excellent.

This place was awesome. We had a party of 11 and they put us in our own room with 2 chefs for our party. Emily was our server and was on top of everything and was super friendly. Martin the owner was so nice and made our group feel right at home. We live on the other side of Charlotte but will be returning any time we are over here again. Highly recommend

Me and my partner did the hibachi. Cheltsey and roy were amazing from beginning to end. Cheltsey felt like a long time best friend and Roy was so personable. What a great duo. I knew it would be good when the complimentary soup didn’t taste like dish water. (Other high end places have) 10/10 recommend!

I waited 45 mins for a veggie sushi roll - mind you this was the only thing I ordered. The guest I came with had already eaten their hibachi by the time my sushi came out. The manager knows we frequent this restaurant often and his only solution was to “take the sushi back”. I am very disappointed! He valued an $8 sushi plate over a loyal customer who brings him lots of business. Neither my friends or myself will be back!
