Outstanding job to Honey Baked Ham in Cornelius. The store was packed with pickup orders today for Christmas, and their organization was exceptional, and they were extremely friendly. We were in and out in under 5 minutes, even with a long line. They are an example of how takeout around the holidays should work. Thank you, Honey Baked Ham, for the stress-free and fantastic experience. I can't recommend them enough.

On several occasions in the past my husband has picked up fresh sandwiches and sides and we've enjoyed them for surprise picnics, impromptu lunches, etc. and they have always been delicious. But yesterday was the worst take out (fast food included) we have experienced for as long as I can remember. My husband ordered 2 of the classic ham sandwiches plus a side of broccoli salad and potato salad. To start when we each opened our styrofoam box the 2 halves of our sandwich were just tossed inside and had fallen apart. No butcher/wax paper liner like in the past or in online photos - horrible presentation! Once I put my sandwich back together I took a bite expecting the delicious taste of honey baked ham but instead the entire sandwich was dry and tasteless. The 2 slices of ham didn't even cover the croissant, the croissant was dry, the Swiss cheese was a tiny little square, the hickory mustard sauce was disgusting, no mayo and the lettuce tasted like it hadn't even been washed. Hubby had to scrape off some of the mustard (too much) and add mayo to make it begin to be edible. We ended up eating just the ham by itself with the sides. It's a real disappointment especially when you're hungry and have nothing else to eat. Nobody should spend $8 on a sandwich (x 2) from a reputable restaurant and be served the scraps we were from this location. Looking @ the reviews and after our experience we won't be back!

I placed my order online for pickup the next week (of Thanksgiving). They had the lines set up for order pickup vs. walk-ins. I arrived at a good time and waited maybe 5 minutes to pick up my order. It was brought out immediately and I was on my way. The staff members were friendly, although I am sure they had a lot going on with a brief break in between. Great location, plenty of parking.

Initial employee was new and nice. Additional staffer that jumped in during our order was incredibly rude. Would not come back.

Called to place a catering order for my business and the sales associate advised us that the manager was too busy to take our order. The associate, herself, was totally unaware that they even offered platters for catering. Poor management all around. We took our business to Fresh Market.

The store manager told me it was not her F'n problem that they did not have hams the day before Thanksgiving. She further said she can't control the fact that her staff told me on the phone the day before that I did not need to make a reservation or prepay for a ham because they had hundreds left and there would be no problem to walk in and get one. Now thanks to them we have no ham for dinner. I understand staffing is hard, but as patrons we do not need to tolerate rude store employees and managers swearing at us especially when we are being polite. I certainly hope this manger does not represent the values of Honey Baked Ham. She should be fired. You have lost a customer for life!

Catering at my work.....box marked ham also marked cheddar roasted tomatoes....got to my car....no ham on sand..tomatoes not roasted they cut up like fo salad....mayo on my sand but all others had a bbq sauce... was soggy....bad first impression....will not visit our recommended
