Waterman came to Hoptown in Mville to serve oysters so we decided to try the restaurant. Ordered two dozen oysters and three entrees. The house oysters were frsh and shucked properly. Excellent home made sauces for the oysters as well.
Entrees were all good, the trout was very good as was the fish and chips.
The service really stood out, shame on me for not noting her name but she was very good.
I would like to see a broader fresh fish selection.

Atmosphere & service were great, but the food was bad. I ordered a fish sandwich, and the fish was as thin as a slice of bacon. The bulk of the sandwich came from bread & coleslaw (it was like a coleslaw sandwich with a couple of pickles thrown in). And I didn't receive the fries which they charged me for. I also ordered a Cesar Salad which was over dressed and soggy. Not enjoyable at all, and expensive, I won't be back. I'll go to Brickhouse Tavern instead, which serves a nice piece of fish. Very disappointing. Not worth the money spent.
Absolutely excellent!!! Best seafood restaurant in the piedmont!! The freshest oysters, calamari, and blackened shrimp tacos I've ever had!! And I am very particular about seafood! Quality is worth the price 👌 Julio and Megan made our first experience worth coming back!! Great atmosphere! We need this in Gaston County, please!!!

----DO NOT BUY--- the lunch special Fish & chips... It's literally one fish stick the size of maybe a mozzarella stick lol.. You're really just ordering a dog bowl of fries. I tried to hint to the waitress that I was super disappointed with the portion size by asking her if this was a kids meal but she was oblivious.
I guess I should of spent $4 more dollars to get the regular portion size to get 5 times as much fish... Ate there a few days ago and got that and was completely satisfied with the regular portion.. But Super Super disappointed this go around and definitely wont be back for any lunch special they offer..
Besides the baffling small portion this time.. The food is typically really good. Y'all took me to the bank this time! GJ really you got me..
