Absolutely phenomenal! Stopped at once place before on Easter and they had a preset menu, with nothing that looked good for outrageous price. Saved me from plopping near $500, so we searched and found this marvelous little place! Let me tell you something! We ate and ate and ate and ate some more, and the bill was half of what the other place was going to charge!The oysters were so fresh! Saw them being shucked before they made it too our table...so we ordered some more! The grilled oysters were phenomenal! Juicy, cooked perfectly, garlic was just enough! So...we ordered another round! Had the fried platter, and they swapped the Grouper out to Haddock for me, no up charge, so they are here to please! Cevieche was absolutely outstanding! Fresh, bright, crisp and citrus! The blacked dishes were also all gorgeous! We finished out with the keylime tart, it was soo good I stole it all ?? This is definitely and hidden gem and absolutely customer forwarded! Cozy place, beautiful and great atmosphere! Will ABSOLUTELY make this a spot near Lake Norman all the time!

So today, we arrive at Waterman’s in CORNELIUS please don’t confuse this location with the Charlotte location because we’ve had the best time with every staff member at the Charlotre location. This is for the LKN / Cornelius location only. Never go to this location if you want to be treated with respect. The General Manager/ Shawn spoke to me and my guest as if we weren’t welcome and she didn’t care about our experience. She was condescending and disrespectful all while holding a big smile on her face. As the owner of a company I know that in business you can’t please everyone, but talking to a guest like they are incompetent is where I draw the line. I will never return to this location, my team will never return to this location. If you value who you spend your money with, listen to some of the reviews about the way they were treated and stay away. A lady that witnessed the conversation said it made her sick to her stomach to see a manager act that way.We left and went to 131 main and had great food and staff.

Food is absolutely horrendous, portions are extremely small, service isn't bad, but when you go out for food, you'd like to be full. This place, you'll leave starving, and you'll over pay for the kid crusine sized meal. Definitely go anywhere else, this place isn't worth it. Honestly you are better off getting a fish filet from McDonald's down the road.Food here negative stars

We like this restaurant and come every 3-4 months, but the last two visits my wife has ordered fried shrimp and they have come out dark brown and very over cooked. We sent them back last time and they replaced them. This time we did not but told our waiter. Seems as if the staff needs some coaching so that the food is not overcooked and the wait staff looks at the dishes before serving them.

Update, I reached out via email as suggested by the response from corporate, and sadly, crickets. No reply at all. That is disappointing and telling about their commitment to customers regarding service and food. Now downgraded to 2 stars, they don’t care. My Previous comments….”Oyster service is 5 star. Fresh, good condiments and shucked without shells. Food is not as stellar. Calamari was not crispy, very brown coating and oily. Nachos were cold with oily cheese and minimal cold toppings. I saw fries coming out that were very brown too. Maybe I just choose what they do not excel in. Clean atmosphere, friendly servers and good bar service.

I've been to the Waterman on South End and I had a nice experience so I was excited to try the location at Lake Norman. Unfortunately the service was not up to par. The wait staff was friendly but they were not attentive at all. At the time my friends and I went there weren't many customer, but everytime we were waiting to even spot our waiter so that they could come over.Other than that my food was good because I ordered the same dish I got last time; a lobster roll w/ broccoli and a Sailor's Delight. The lobster roll and drink were great per usual. I'm not necessarily a fan of the broccoli, it was just the healthiest choice. Overall Id give this location a 7/10, hopefully the customer service will get better!

The service was the real low-light though. We sat at the bar to avoid waiting for a table, and the server we had ignored us for about 15 min before even bringing us water. Maybe she was having a bad day, and I don't want to harp on it too long, but long story short, the service was terrible and practically non-existent and she was very unpleasant from the start. I'll stick strictly to the clt location from now on :/

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment and from the moment I entered the restaurant the tone was set. MY senses were immediately on alert with the inviting aromas that were welcoming me to dine with them. I dined during Charlotte's restaurant week and the service i received from my server Megan was exceptional. Her customer service like the restaurant was welcoming. She was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive which just added to my overall experience. I have recently been introduced to oysters and the oysters i enjoyed were some of yhe best i had. The clam chowder was so comforting. The fried seafoof platter was everything I needed it to be; crispy flavorful and tasty. My favorite dish was the seafood pasta. I was unable to eat all the food at the time, so i had my pasta later that night. It was equally as tasty as i ate it cold.I recommend dining at this restaurant you will not be disappointed
