Came in after hearing good things. Place is beautiful and festive for Christmas. Drink menu had something for everyone. Food was well above average. Artichoke Dip was a favorite of the group I was with. Duck Wintons were something I haven’t seen before and were excellent. I had the Chicken Picatta which is the best I’ve had outside of NY rest of the group raved about the prime rib sandwich. Was mildly upset that we couldn’t get the prime rib special which is only once a week. Service was great and we didn’t have to wait very long for drinks or food even when the place was crowded for dinner rush. Family run and it shows. We were waited in by the owners daughter and she couldn’t have been nicer. Over all very impressed and will return often.

Stopped into Torrence and Knox looking for something different and good while passing through town and picked this based on other reviews and high rating. My experience was okay but I doubt we'd visit again as the value isn't there for what you get and the food quality was mid. For context I stopped in at 7.45pm so it shouldn't be considered late.
Atmosphere:
Very holiday festive and inviting. If you want to catch a ball game it is a great setup with large tvs all over the place. The restaurant itself is beautiful I'd say, nice vibe to it with an outdoor seating area with strung lights, full liquor bar albeit with a limited and basic beer selection for a place like this, and I like the decor details like the light fixtures and the tile at the entrance door. Definitely 5 stars for the Atmosphere and potential of this place.
Service:
Only 1 server who was also the door host. Very nice guy and he did good overall, a few things I heard that I wouldn't have recommended him saying ie. About bartender makes great cocktails but he doesn't like to make them..weird. But my deduction of the star is when it came time to pay the bill...I got no bill to see the itemized detail of my $130 meal for 2 appetizers, 3 meals consisting of 2 sandwiches and a salad, and 1 soda and 2 cocktails.....$155 including tip. Not what I would have called a $50 per head meal. I asked for the bill and receipt, what I got was simply the receipt of my final charged amount and it just felt like it was hiding the cost and charges. If I were traveling for business and expensing this meal you'd be screwed. I assume fair amount of their business comes from the hotel next door and you may get business travelers...provide a real bill and not just handing over the handheld electronic ordering/payment POS (point of sale) system.
Food:
This is the reason of my okay rating review. The food is okay but at the end of it all it just felt like heavy fried food and sandwiches. As well at 8pm they had no arugula for salad or sandwiches, no pretzel appetizer, no plain ranch dressing just a house made dressing that was said to be jalapeño ranch but had the consistency and taste of tartar sauce, no prime rib when its the special, no to go drink cups to take my soda with me for the hour drive home. The steak salad that my wife had was said to be good, just the steak chunks were large and not really appropriate sized for a steak salad. The Philly was good, no complaints there. My daughter got a chicken sandwich and said it was good. The duck dumplings were meh, basically a few duck bacon bits sprinkled into a cream cheese filling which is mostly what you tasted..wouldn't recommend. The bacon cheese fries though were good but again...no real ranch dressing just the tartar ranch that didn't really have much of a taste to it. The main course (sandwiches and salad) stuff was fine, just way overpriced. The appetizers, wouldn't order them again.
Walking away from it now, I'd wished to maybe have had of the 6 or 7 entrees that were on menu but I doubt they would have match the $28-30 menu price based on the other things I tried that consisted of the majority of the menu. It feels like they attempt to upscale sports bar food to maybe justify the pricing, but the location is really nice and being in the Cornelius area they'd would likely be better served having better quality food to match the decor and drink menu or focus on giving good sports bar food and align the pricing that way. Having just a single server who is the host also kind of red flags that they may not do high volume business to be able to pull that off at 8pm dinner rush time or during Monday Night Football for what is possibly intentioned to be a sports bar given the massive investment into the large tvs everywhere?? We were 1 of 3 tables there with a few people having drinks at the bar. Just seems like a place uncertain of what niche t

I've been there twice, once for lunch when they first opened and tonight for dinner. I enjoyed the grilled Brooklyn Chicken sandwich as lunch and the jumbo pretzel tonight, however I was disappointed with the burger I had this evening. I had asked for medium rare and it came out well done (not even a slight pink color to the meat). If I had been by myself I'd have said something, but I was with two friends who were enjoying their meals and I didn't want to disrupt them. Hopefully this was just a one time mistake and if I order a burger in the future, I will let them know what my experience was this time and emphasize that I want the meat to still be pink inside. Other then that, our server was wonderful and the ambiance of the restaurant was very festive for the Holiday season.

Service was fine, atmosphere is really cool too! But have to give it 3 stars just because of the price of the food and the quality. It's good, don't get me wrong (except they overcooked the steak and had to remake it), but the prices just don't align with what you get.
Would recommend as a cool place for drinks/cocktails though! Very well decorated/maintained

This is a nice place that had a great live band the night we were there. The service was a bit slow but nice and responsive. The food was good and the drinks were all done well.

I manage waste for Andrew and the team at Torrence & Knox. Incredible people! Admittedly, we had a rough start in the early stage of service, and they were extremely patient with us while we fixed issues on our end. Since then, it has been a pleasure to help them on their waste needs and support their operation. Please stop in and support this wonderful restaurant!

Looks brand new, inside and out with a cute outdoor area. Came with a few friends Tuesday and we all enjoyed our food. I got the chicken sandwich and it was tender and not dry. Service was on point as well. Bonus: they had $6 glasses of wine on special and Music Bingo, which was fun too.

Yet another restaurant at the lake that over charges for food. Daughter's had me try. Definitely not a chicken parmesan kind of place. Saw way more burgers going out of the kitchen. Took almost and hour to get food and 35 minutes to get mozzarella sticks. Dont order chicken parm. Frozen chicken patty deep fried, over cooked, with marinara sauce and slices of mozzarella cheese on top. Definitely 100% not a $28 dollar meal. Maybe $15 meal. Atmosphere was definitely nice inside. Upscale sports bar. Tried to figure out if sports bar or upscale restaurant. Was a little confused. Prices are definitely more a little bit of upscale but food definitely sports bar. Was told numerous times the kitchen was slammed due to big parties in the other room. They didnt just walk in. With the number of people they had there had to be a reservation. If not, thats on them. Never tell your other customers the kitchen is slammed is the reason it took an hour to get food. My daughter went in and took hour and a half to get food. Probably won't be back for overpriced bar food

The only reason I give four stars on food is because the salad. It was a bit wet and some brown pieces of lettuce. Salad should never be served wet. Really bad croutons. For a restaurant that serves all fresh food, the croutons were reminiscent of the croutons in little bags at McDonalds. Other than that it would have given it five stars. The food's great The service is great very nice atmosphere.

I’ve been three times since this new spot has opened- and I had the chicken parm each time as it’s incredible! The red sauce is superb and pasta is delicious as well. (Still need to try the wings and burger!) The bar area is so well done too! Will be a frequent flyer here!

We went to Torrence and Knox for a quick bite after a round of golf and boy were we pleased with the two appetizers we ordered. The Creamy Artichoke Dip was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The Bavarian Pretzel was amazing and paired perfectly with the dipping sauces.
Our server Allen, was friendly, attentive and welcoming.
Great food, great service and a very fun atmosphere.....we'll definitely be back!
