Great friendly service. Free chips and salsa is nice touch, given many places make you pay for this. They have typical mexican food - tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and fajitas. The enchiladas and burrito had a lot of sauce on them, but the tacos and fajitas were good. Not many choices in Corolla, but definitely a good place to go if you are staying Northern OBX and want mexican.

We recently returned to Agave Roja in Corolla, North Carolina after visiting two years ago. What made this visit extra special was that we had the same waiter as last time, Ramerio. He joked around and told us he considers us family now, which made the whole experience feel warm and personal. Ramerio was in our photo from 2023 and then again this year! The food is still just as good as we remembered, and the salsa was especially fresh and flavorful. It's a good restaurant.

They were short-staffed, but the service was awful, staff was extremely rude, and we ended up leaving after 1.5 hours of waiting for a to-go order that never came out. I’m sure people like this place, but never again based on the fact that they’re okay treating customers like garbage.

Great food and what an absolutely amazing staff and management. We had a blast while eating some great food. Highly recommend. Small menu that they do amazingly. The staff are a lot of fun and very open to making recommendations and accommodating.

From the fresh guacamole, to street corn to the pork shank all meals did not disappoint!
Coupled with a great (and patient waiter) like Ramiro who tirelessly explained food options and best dishes to eat.
We will definitely eat here again…and again. Thanks for the great meal and making a made from scratch strawberry fruit cake for my birthday! It’s great to see and experience a restaurant that still delivers!
