Absolutely the best place in the area. From the food to the atmosphere you will not be disappointed
The tortillas used to make the chicken tinga tacos were uncooked and cold. Fry them so they are crispy, please! The wait staff was kind, though, and the atmosphere was fine.

This place is great. Nice atmosphere, great service, great food, nice menu with a lot of choices. We always go here as they have a good gluten free menu also. But all the food is delicious and great drink menu, too.

Such a great place, 6 of us had dinner and drinks and the service was outstanding, our server( I forgot her name) but she was going to costarica when they close for the season. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great. We had a little bit of everything from the menu. I highly recommend this place for just having a few drinks or having a great dinner with a bottle of wine and fantastic food.
The bathrooms were also very clean and plenty of parking.

Cute, friendly restaurant with great food! Our waiter was friendly and polite, and the area was very clean. The music playlist was a vibe, too.

Enjoyed our lunches and dinner at Bernie's Bros. This is one of our favorite spots when we visit the Outer Banks!

We visited in August and again in September, based on a friend's recommendation. While we have also frequented Barefoot Bernie's, we actually prefer this location now. In August, it was a Friday night, so we knew they'd be busy. We liked the option to wait in our car and view from our phones where we were in the queue, when it was our turn to be seated. We were seated in the bar, which was lively but not too noisy. What really impressed us was the bartender (Danny?). He did not miss a beat! He covered a full bar AND made sure his tables had the coverage needed. It's rare one can do that well and he struck the perfect balance, during an incredibly busy time, impressive. We returned for lunch on Friday in September, seated in the dining area, and our server took great care of us as well. Both times I had the fish and chips and they were delicious. Other in the party had a cheesesteak, also happy with it. Parking was a bit tight in August, but if you're doing takeaway, there are two spaces. There's also overflow parking in the shopping center next door. Restrooms were clean and stalls were not tiny, always a bonus. We look forward to returning.

I'm not sure what the food tasted like as we never even got past the unattended hostess stand or bar. Came for lunch, no staff in sight despite several tables and guests. After standing at the door for about five minutes, an apparent employee in an over-sized sweatshirt and yoga pants came out of the kitchen, saw us, rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell us that if we wanted to sit outside it would be about five minutes. There were a wealth of open tables, very few guests with it being the off season, and seemed silly to make us continue to stand there for no reason. As service industry people ourselves, we were so turned off by the employees lack of professional appearance, caring, and communication that we walked out. I've never felt like more of a burden just for setting foot inside a place, and I'd be livid if any of my employees treated a paying customer this way. Shame. 0/10

The staff (hostess and server) were both very rude. The chicken we got was overcooked, the shrimp was undercooked. When asked to sign the check we had to find another server to borrow a pen because ours didn't bring one. We were told we shouldn't have been sat when we were, if we wanted ketchup on our burger we could put it on ourselves. Just overall a bad experience to the point that one of our party members didn't even feel comfortable getting food while there.

Ordered 106 dollars worth of food for 5 adults picked up for takeout. The pizza was phenomenal. Fries are good. The two burgers were pink inside even after specifically ordering well done/ no pink. 15 dollars for an undercooked burger that was bun, meat, and cheese (declined lettuce and tomato) with no ketchup or mustard or anything.
