Totally legit bbq joint! This is what bbq places are supposed to be like! They serve amazing food and serve it how it should be. As a small business owner and someone who does bbq myself I was so appreciative with this place!

Food was okay. More forgettable than anything.
Has a feeling of pork from a bag, Mac and cheese from the grocery and candied yames from a can.
Great atmosphere with the outdoor picnic tables.

Had ribs, pull pork sandwich and potato salad. Ribs would have been good but dry as if they had been sitting out all day. Pull pork sandwich lacked flavor but was tender. Lastly, potato salad was god awful ekkk never had such awful tasting potato salad in my life. They have picnic tables you can sit and eat but why would you since they don't seem to be clean which in turn attracts millions of flies. Bottle drinks was the only real thing I enjoyed about this place. The staff are nice enough accept they wanted us to leave a tip, tip for what they did nothing but box our food and hand it to us through a window if you want a tip here's one move out of the trailer and into a building where you customers feel comfortable.

The food was amazing but it wasn't worth me fighting the flies to eat it at their picnic tables. I enjoyed it in the AC and comfort of my vehicle. But a must do if you're in the currituck lighthouse area.

Tiny place tucked in between a couple of buildings. Do not judge a book by its cover because the bbq here is incredible!! The bake beans came recommended and did not disappoint.

Friendly service. Good food. Tasty sides. Tried BBQ, potato salad, baked beans, Mac n cheese and corn bread. Flies were a nuisance but food was good.

The food is solid and consistent. They only have NC vinegar sauces these days. That’s not unreasonable since it is in North Carolina though.

We ordered four plates for lunch for some hungry children and adults. Plates include cornbread, meat, and two sides. We had the pork, ribs, and chicken. The ribs were some of the best that I have had. They were full of flavor, had a nice layer of char on them, and they weren’t greasy whatsoever. The sides were delicious as well. Everyone loved the potato salad! Will return during our next OBX trip!!

Looking forward to our visit in September. This spot has excellent barbecue and it is at the top of our carry out choices to eat back at the house. We fell in love with the cornbread too, we bought this by the dozen!
