Cosmo's Pizza Corolla Light

For whatever reason, when we go to the beach, we always crave a good pizza pie. Cosmo's Pizza in Corolla is a new favorite! The manager was friendly and helpful, and the pizzas were amazing! We ordered a large pizza with half Chicken Bacon Ranch and the other half was sweet and hot with pepperoni, jalapenos and hot honey. Delicious all around, and the mocktails weren't bad either. We'll be back!

Ordered a lot of food for take out one afternoon. Pickup was a breeze even with a surly three year old in tow who kept trying to rearrange the candy. Pizza was absolutely delicious - hot, right amount of crisp even with taking it home. My husband enjoyed the French fries. The garlic knots were also good. I didn't try the wings or sub but I heard from the others who ate them that they were good as well. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful pizza. The Crab pizza is great. I usually don't eat the crust but man this crust was so good!!! The ladies serving us were helpful and accommodating and informative. Bathroom was clean. They had good tea. Food comes out fast and hot. They had milk for my toddler. Bottled and fountain drinks.

Parking: Plenty of parking.

Got yelled at cause I didn't talk to the hostess. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes never got a drink. The bartender was busy talking about himself.

Fantastic pizza and even better service. I have celiac and they took great attention to making sure my pizza was safe. I ordered online during a very bumpy horse tour and picked a weird time. When I walked in, they were more than willing to get my pizza going early. I wish I had found this place before the last day of our vacation-I would have come every day!

Fantastic pizza and Greek salad. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Caleb was our waiter. First day and he was a little nervous but did great. Bartender/Manager very welcoming and helped Caleb out. If ever back in OBX this is on our list!!!

Fried pickles were awesome. If you’re looking for north east coast pizza, don’t come to OBX. This is probably the best pizza in the area but just don’t get too excited for it.

Guy at front counter couldn’t have been nicer. Sat down with my 68 year old mother. She had an id that was expired (by days) that we were honest about to server. (Server was nice) We had the temp license on a paper with us as well. Blonde middle aged man was yelling about the “rules” to embarrass my mother when she was asking the rules in NC. She was bawling by the time we left due to his extremely horrible customer behavior. Just would of been better if he didn’t have to be so loud and cause a seen as if he was trying to prove he follows the rules which is completely fine but he did not need to be so extreme to embarrass someone who was just trying to understand the rules & was not underage drinking. Advise to avoid if you don’t wanna be embarrassed.

This pizza is so good that we had it twice in the week we were in OBX! The pizza tasted soooo good, and you can tell the dough was fresh. Traditional wings are also great! They have a great beer selection. We had takeout one night, dined in the second time. Service was exceptional both times. Will definitely be going back next time we’re in OBX!

Very good pizza, and friendly atmosphere, just be ready to pay those north Corolla prices! The build your own pizza has a lot of great toppings options (where can you find buratta around here‽).

Good pizza, especially for a resort town. Cute pizzeria, very casual. Probably not
more than 10-15 tables plus a bar. The good part was the specialty pizzas and they have gluten free crusts (so our whole family could eat there easily … which can be a challenge in Corolla). Good appetizers, too. Wings were solid. Wait staff was nice, got our orders right, and were attentive. Maybe made us feel a tad rushed, but in totality not a huge deal.

I’m rating Cosmo’s (as I would nearly any other casual full service restaurant on the Outer Banks) on a curve. Considering the competition of similarly classified restaurants in Corolla, it’s highest on our list and the only place to which we returned during our week-long visit. Would this place blow the doors off the competition in a major city? Doubtful. But that doesn’t make it any less pleasing of a place to eat for a family on vacation at the beach. It’s certainly a lot better than the combo surf and turf places that make up a bulk of the remaining casual sit-down restaurants north of Duck.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free crust available and ok to create pizzas without cheese.
