Fatcrabs Rib Company & Seafood Shack

I got the Alaskan and the potatoes were not done and very salty. You only receive 2 clusters of snow crabs to be the 1lb. Charged $11.00 to switch out the scallops for an extra crab leg (which were small) and $4 for an extra corn on the cob that was not completely shucked.

I got the Shrimp Cocktail appetizer, i have too say this was the best shrimp i have ever had. Large (not jumbo) but definitely large and delicious. so soft and flavorful. but the price was a little much for only 6 shrimp. 14$ is a little much in my opinion. My kids got the kids cheeseburger and fries. Good size burgers and the fries were very tasty and good portioned.

If i could give 0 I would, Been communicating with Brian the owner since April about catering a wedding on the 4x4 beach and his communication skills are horrendous! Went back and forth in email asking questions about quantities and such and when i asked him for an option for the kids, talking about mac and cheese sent him over the edge because we spoke about seafood mac and cheese for the adults and i opted out of that because of the cost, simply asked what option there was for kids mac and cheese and he completely ignored the question, so i simply said, please go re read my email and then respond so i can get it all paid for and done. However because i said i was questioning the level of paying attention to anything I was saying to him, that sent him over the edge and he then started accusing me of being difficult. Asking to finalize a wedding order 26 days prior to my wedding was being too difficult. Lesson learned and be very aware of wanting this place to do anything responsible. No clue about their food and never plan to find out. I would attach the emails but not sure what more that would do in this case, just beware!

Service was poor…portions are small and way over priced…left hungry..crab legs did not look or crack..would never go back

They don’t take reservations, so we waited about 20 minutes for our party of 5 to be seated. Not bad for a busy in season evening. Plenty of room at our table, but the restaurant was so hot, we were uncomfortable and we weren’t near the door nor the kitchen. We really wanted to get blue crabs, but they only do them carryout. So we settled for crab cakes, ribs and a seafood boil. The seafood boil was good, the crab cakes were like warm, like they had been sitting awhile and the ribs were over cooked and dried out. We had way better ribs at the Corolla Village BBQ and way better crab cakes at the Oceanfront Grill.

Fantastic food and great service.

Sooo good! We went twice in one week. Our wait was great- 15 mins one night and the second time we were seated right away. Delicious crab cakes and fish! My kids loved the fried shrimp basket. Definitely give it a try!

Best ribs in Corolla. We order at least once a vacation, and they are always perfect. Also, their pulled pork and chicken is delicious. We usually fo pick up for dining at the house and sunset viewing. Their food is always consistently good. Don't miss the ribs!

Fabulous fresh seafood. And oh those hush puppies. The cornbread was fabulous as well. Lots of side choices. Outdoor seating available.

My wife and I had a desire for a hamburger. We stopped by another restaurant close by and noticed no burgers were on the menu. We were directed to Fat Crabs…a good suggestion! Once at Fat Crabs, we were rapidly seated and our drink orders were taken. We ordered their cheese burgers, which were double deckers and very juicy. We did not order fries as the restaurant also serves conch, which my wife is allergic to. Yep, we highly recommend eating here.

Delicious food, exceptional service. Just by chance we ended up stopping here, but we would return anytime we stay in the Outer Banks.

Crab Dip was divine and our other food quite good as well. Service was fantastic and probably the friendliest staff we encountered in the OBX.l...Angela was our Appalachian Server & was outstanding. Would definitely return.
