Easily the WORST meal of a 7 day vacation. I ordered scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and a biscuit with black coffee. It was about 9:30 am on Monday the 17th. ALL of the food was bad. The potatoes and biscuit had to be cooked the day before and just reheated. Dry and without taste best describes it. Really tough to screw up scrambled eggs...but they did. Eggs tasted like they were cooked in a pan with yesterday's bacon grease. Only decent thing was the black coffee. Service was disinterred at best. Our male waiter couldn't help but play tickle,tickle with a female employee who seemed to do nothing. If you are hungry, stay hungry and drive further.

The staff was incredibly rude to our group. It was upsetting and quite frankly shocking. He had the opportunity to show kindness and basic human politeness, and failed miserably. Unfortunately, our large group of over 30 who vacation here regularly will never go here. Will happily take down this review for a conversation with the manager and an apology from the staff.

Was looking at Nellys to grab a bite for Breakfast/Lunch when First Light was recommended by Flying Smiles Kites. She said we should try the eggs benedict. If she had eaten there yesterday, I believe she would have been embarrassed for recommending them.
Slight smile from our hostess was all the hospitality we received. We were seated in a back corner facing a freezer and all of their restock items for the tables even though the restaurant wasn't full and there were better tables and views.
Our male waiter seemed annoyed at me for asking about suggestions from the menu. The female waitress who delivered our food did so with hostility. No one came to refill our drinks or check on us until we were almost done with our meal. If they were understaffed then they should have just closed for the day.
Unfortunately, the food reflected all of the above. Flavorless, dry or greasy and WAY overpriced. $130 for 4 people for lunch is acceptable if the food and service is stellar. Taking those into account this bill should have been about $30
We work hard to save up our family Vacation. It is super disappointing to watch that money go to such waste.
PS not a fan of posting negative reviews but hopeful the Owner will read and work on improvements so another family of four will be able to enjoy eating here.

For a small restaurant, this place is surprisingly busy. Food is very good, however you can tell the wait staff is stretched far too thin. Good restaurant if you are looking for a nice breakfast stop

Waiter just took order and never came back until he dropped off the bill...I noticed the two totals did not match..he said must be wrong bill...we only couple in restaurant..how wrong bill..but he says the more expensive one is the right one...really?.. I paid and will never go back or recommend this place to no one...
This used to be the best breakfast in Corolla. Appears there is new management and the quality of food is not what it once was. Feels like they are cutting corners. The home fries were bland and tasted frozen. We used to really enjoy their home fries because they were fresh. Bacon was undercooked with the Hangover Breakfast. Staff was not as welcoming as previous years. Breakfast overall was underwhelming. I’m not sure if we will return.
