They did not toast my bagel. Nor did they ask me if i wanted it toasted. Coming from new york city a toasted bagel is expected. Jaw locked up at least 5 times trying to eat this untoasted bagel that was $7.54 with extra cream cheese. Dont forget to tell them to toast because they do not have a sign and they do not ask.

We went today at about 6:45 this morning after seeing that the hours of operation were 6:30am-1:30pm. The door was unlocked and so we began walking in and was met by a much older blonde woman who yelled that they don't open until 7am. We apologized and explained we thought they had been open because we got our information from the website online to which the woman yelled "It does not say 6:30, I changed it myself!" Myself and my extended family vacation here every year. My sister loved their bagels and we will not be returning to a business where employees or owners speak to customers that way. Very sad and disappointing. Also included a screenshot from this morning showing what time we were there AND the hours that were posted online.

The best bagels on the obx! I’ve come here multiple times now and can confidently say it is worth the wait, however if you come at a good time there is no wait. The owner and staff are all so nice, helpful, and friendly. They even threw in an extra bagel to our surprise! We will always come back!!

Blueberry bagel was AMAZING!
It was my first trip to the OBX so first time at Lighthouse, I would give them another chance but would make sure to ask for it extra toasted or toasted twice! We waited in a long line but it didn’t take long, shows how popular they are! It’s a smooth organized operation and good prices. I am a bit of a self-declared bagel snob so I would’ve preferred more seasonings on the bagels such as everything or sesame. The texture was good and they are thick but maybe a little too thick and the toasting wasn’t enough. Next time I would also buy a dozen as is to make at home how I prefer them. I was impressed with the variety of flavors. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and patient with each customer which was impressive after seeing how busy their mornings are!

Bagels are great, but always ask for a receipt. Owner/cashier overcharges orders. My mom was charged over $30 for a bagel, water and some seasoning. I was overcharged as well, but luckily I asked for a receipt so I caught it.

If you order online you’ll have to wait at least 2 hours, and then some once you get there. The staff were not very pleasant. Good bagels but bad experience overall.

When you’re the only bagel shop in OBX you can be the best. After “28 years” the owner said I am doing something right. The bagels here are ok not great for $2.50 think way over priced and $31 for a dozen is a joke. The taste was probably good enough for people who don’t know or don’t get good bagels. But true bagel connoisseur will know they are not. Of all you people that review you order one thing and judge it’s the greatest ever. Go there multiple times a week to be fair. It’s not really worth the 20-25 minute wait.

We ordered the Jersey on an everything bagel, French Toast, Asiago and Pretzel beer. All were absolutely fantastic! With our favorites being the French toast and Asiago. All of the cream cheeses were perfection on top. ? We also threw on a cinnamon roll and it was worth the add- on.
