Absolutely the worst BBQ I’ve ever had, the brisket sandwich was slimy and all fat. The pulled pork sandwich was covered in a vinegar sauce that made it impossible to eat. The hush puppies were good though do I did get something I could eat for my $40 bucks

I have eaten quite a fair amount of BBQ in my life. Not only do we smoke our own at home, I make it a habit to eat BBQ in every state I travel to (Texas, GA, etc). This BBQ is by far some of the best I've ever had. The portions are just right where you leave feeling full. The brisket is tender, the breading on the chicken was delicious, and the chicken was juicy and tender. And we paid less than we usually do. My only complaint is that we don't have any more days on our vacation to come back again! Don't let the negative reviews deter you. Come eat some delicious BBQ.

Brisket was outstanding,Mac and cheese bites were excellent

Our waitress was fantastic! Food was good! Drinks were cold, very kid friendly! Kids got souvenir frisbees with their meals, def worth a try!

Their beef brisket is amazing!!! We also really enjoyed the hush puppies and potato salad. I ordered the huge brisket sandwich with potato salad as the side and was definitely feeling full. The brisket platter with two sides is definitely a "cheap eats" option to consider.

This was our go to BBQ place on the OBX, but when we were there last the ribs were burnt and not very good. The brisket was amazing, juice and tasty

Service was slow unfortunately. Waiting 15 minutes for our drinks. Food tasted ok, however the beef came out luke warm, not hot. Overall not really satisfied with my experience here. It was just ok.

Picked up a family pack for a late lunch today and everything was amazing. The ribs are excellent, pulled pork was tender, Mac and cheese and green beans were both delicious. We walked out with more than enough food to feed 16+ people in 30 minutes at a super reasonable price (less than a quarter of what lunch cost at a nearby restaurant). Can’t recommend them enough!

Maybe the best BBQ I've ever had and very reasonably priced. If that wasn't enough, it was maybe the best service I've ever had. Peyton was very polite and anticipated all of our needs before we needed to ask for anything. I would give her ten stars if I could.

The food is amazing! We had a party of 12 and everyone was very happy with everything that we ordered! The portions are good sized everything was delicious. Our server was very nice and did a great job! The prices are very fair ! We would all come back here again and again! I highly recommend Sooey’s!

This BBQ restaurant was so good we ordered takeout twice during our vacation. The ribs were amazing and the pulled pork and brisket were delicious. Don’t forget the hush puppies…best we ever had.
