5/5 — Honestly one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time
I wasn’t expecting anything crazy when we walked in, but this meal ended up being a top 10 dinner for us. Everything we ordered was spot-on.
The lamb meatballs were incredible — tender, full of flavor, and the romesco/pickled cauliflower combo was perfect. The delicata squash surprised me the most; it was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you’re done. And the strip steak was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.
We wrapped it up with an ice cream sandwich, and it was the perfect ending to the meal.
Service was friendly, food came out at a great pace, and the whole night was just way way better than I expected. Super impressed and definitely coming back. Only wish we had visited sooner!

Urban Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants on the OBX. The vibe is great and the staff are top notch. We've tried almost everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. The Strip Steak is a standout - very flavorful and a generous portion. The Scottish salmon and the crispy catfish appetizer are also favorites. The restaurant is small and doesn't take reservations, so either arrive early or be patient. It's worth the wait.

Service: Our server was great. He was very friendly and checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed. Great customer service.
Ambiance: the place is on the smaller end so just make sure you know about their max 6 people policy! The food is worth the wait.

Surprising place tucked away in a strip mall next to Harris Teeters. Food was excellently prepared and inventive. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Very intimate setting. Worth getting there just before they open to get a table.

Extremely disappointed with our experience at Urban Kitchen. We arrived as a group of six adults and one child, and the hostess was shockingly rude right from the start. She flat-out refused to seat us, claiming they couldn’t accommodate our group size—even though the restaurant wasn’t full. When we offered to split into two smaller groups, she still refused and gave us serious attitude, as if we were doing something wrong just by being there.
The lack of basic courtesy and flexibility was unacceptable. We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming dining experience.

Best restaurant in Corolla hands down. Food is fresh, flavorful and inventive. We ordered the Halloumi cheese with dukkah to start - divine! For our mains we ordered the Strip Steaks, Chicken with Potato, Tatziki and Castelvetrano Olive - also divine. Don't forget to order dessert. We ordered the Passion Fruit Tart, Chocolate Panacotta, that was like a deconstructed smore on crack, and the ice cream oatmeal raisin cookie sandwich with vanilla ice cream. Overall an amazing find in Corolla! Worth the drive you are staying south of Corolla.
