Urban Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants on the OBX. The vibe is great and the staff are top notch. We've tried almost everything on the menu and enjoyed it all. The Strip Steak is a standout - very flavorful and a generous portion. The Scottish salmon and the crispy catfish appetizer are also favorites. The restaurant is small and doesn't take reservations, so either arrive early or be patient. It's worth the wait.
Food: We had the apple arugula salad, salmon, chicken, and French fries. Everything was delicious and so tasty! Great quality overall.
Service: Our server was great. He was very friendly and checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed. Great customer service.
Ambiance: the place is on the smaller end so just make sure you know about their max 6 people policy! The food is worth the wait.

I wasn’t expecting anything crazy when we walked in, but this meal ended up being a top 10 dinner for us. Everything we ordered was spot-on.
The lamb meatballs were incredible — tender, full of flavor, and the romesco/pickled cauliflower combo was perfect. The delicata squash surprised me the most; it was one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you’re done....
