First time there and the food was delicious. Had the shrimp scampi pizza, can I just say wow! The beer wall was a great opportunity to try different flavors of beer. The customer service went above and beyond there duty. When back in town will definitely visit again.

Just spent $63 dollars here and did not get any food. I have no idea why this was so expensive. I’m guessing the self pour beers register incorrectly as we were only here (my wife and I ) for an hour. Wouldn’t recommend, won’t be back.

Great brewery and atmosphere! A wide selection of beer, wine, and cocktails all self served in your choice of appropriate glassware. We did a couple flights of beer and all were delicious. The food looked scrumptious, but fortunately/ unfortunately we had dinner plans. We were able to meet Kristen the owner, and she was a pleasure to talk with and hear all about the beers and how she started the business. (Go Hokies!)

OBX 2025. If you want half price shareable appetizers in Corolla, this is the place for you. The special is Monday through Friday from 2 to 4 PM, and the choices of appetizers are great. The portion sizes are large and the service is first class. The brewery has a wide variety of beer choices, and you link your credit card to a wristband and scan each beer tap and pay by the ounce as you try all the different varieties. The pizza oven churns out excellent, crispy pizza, and the deviled egg appetizer is first class. This is a don’t miss location while in OBX!!

Whale Head Brewery is an absolute gem! The live music creates such a fun and welcoming vibe, and the service is always friendly and attentive. The beer selection is fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and with something for every taste. And the pizza? Simply delicious — perfect to enjoy with a pint. A great spot to relax with friends, enjoy great tunes, and savor excellent food and drinks. Highly recommend!

Went with my family a few months back and had a great time! Best part, we were able to sit outside with our pup! Food was absolutely fantastic and it was nice being able to try all the different drinks (loved that they didn't just have beer but also mixed drinks and wine). We will absolutely be back next time we're in town!

Buffalo chicken pizza was really just a grilled chicken pizza, no buffalo sauce included on the pie. All pizzas included a very large amount of crust and a small amount of sauce and cheese. Gave it a 2 instead of a 1 because what can you really expect from pizza in the former confederacy? Had to grade on a curve. Cute design on the boxes though.

We have been going to OBX for 30+ years and this is a welcome addition to the whalehead neighborhood. Elton and his family are phenomenal and their service is top notch. When we arrived yesterday, half of their tap wall was down because of a power outage but Elton quickly changed the taps around so everyones favorite beverage was on a working tap. Their pizza is delicious and they are very conscious of anyone with a gluten sensitivity. We love whalehead brewery and it is now an annual tradition as part of our trip!
